oi, and now to my first impressions:

It was really fun actually. Im enjoying Shadowrun way more than GOW and GRAW2. Mainly because there are so many more tactical aspects because of the spells, technology etc.

ow, and the maturity level seems to be way higher in Shadowrun than most other games. I didn't hear anyone with a "Mickey Mouse" voice today.

ow and another thing. I met a dorf who had some weird energy shield, which made me take damage when I got close. Wtf was that?

Its a dwarf racial skill, when you go near them they leech your mana.

Its great against Trolls and Elves.

I consider myself a good player but then we all have a match where you just can't seem to kill anyone and die every round.

I average 10-14 kills every match easy.

Haha you werent in mine and Deacans game then because we had 2 really annoying kids singing all the time....

Race: Dwarf
Gear/spells: Enhanced vision + Tree of life + Teleport
Weapon: Shotgun

I love teleporting up behind people and beat them with the shotgun. Plaff plaff.

Dunno mate :/ I've only just got it today, but I haven't experienced any connection problems at all.

Hmm, my subway coke leaked and there was a pool of hot coke under my router, and theres holes in bottom so most probs seeped in. This could explain things Iguess.

Seems rather weird though cause the rest of my internet works fine.

i'm currently trying to get friends from the tribes community to play this game, as i'd like to compete on the ladder/tournie at Welcome to ConsoleGaming.eu !

seems the whole vista and windows live thing is a big sticking point for most pc users. hardly surprising, though.

still, i love this game!

You mean you consider yourself good because you can't spin around in an instant and wtf pwn everyone? hows the blurr effect when you spin round?

I honestly don't see the point in Vista people playing the game to be fair.

heh. it's hardly so extreme. i do think mouse and keyboard is a massive advantage, though - but only with aiming. the actual teamwork aspect is what will win games, not the ability to shoot a little better.

But the control pad is much better for the ENTIRE game to be honest PC players are good with the sniper rifle thats about it as far as i am concerned.

You can usually tell who is a PC player when you get up close to them because usually the PC players spaz out trying to press all those keys to do things.

For me its control pad- Mouse/KB for this game.

i dunno, i don't really struggle in situations like that. i do think the control system favours the 360 users, though. either way, i'd rather simply play it than argue semantics regarding controls :]

finally got this at the weekend. So glad i did

class game! i mostly play dwarf with SMG/Rifle res, tree, gust (get those pesky smoke peeps)

im usually going with Rifle + Summon, Ress and smartlink nowadays

and im still a dorf ofc.

oh yeah smartlink too, i would have far too many team kills otherwise

I never use smartlink. I feel its a wasted slot, its hard to team kill unless your team are idiots and run into your fire/grenades

Its very easy to get a high kill count if you choose the correct skills.

I went 22 kills/6 death/14 rez yesterday, but we still lost as the rest of my team were sodding elves and I was the only dwarf.

That many elves that I nearly always get enhanced vision and gust most games.

elves with swords guarantees smoke, so gust is def the spell of choice

Is this game still being played? Ive been thinking about getting it for a while now but will i have people to play with on Live or have they moved on to other games (like COD4/Halo3 etc)?
