Friars have the same WS as Thanes, Wardens, Minstrels, Assassins and Archers.

No, they are on the same WS-table as those mentioned classes, however they get NO raising 'weaponskill stat' (no DEX during levelling) and are limited to 1 race only (Briton) with 60 DEX.

Thanes can go Troll (40 more at start) and gain 45 STR during levelling, which means they got a 85 higher weaponstat (STR) then a Briton friar.

They're on the right tables, but dont gain anything stat-wise during levelling + limited race-choices which is the Friar's biggest issue.

Because Skalds are on a slightly higher table than Friars?
A Thane would wiff as much as you would.

A similiar specced/equipped Skald would have aproximately 1500 Weaponskill.

Ah yes, bad choise of words. "On the same table" instead of "have the same", because obviously the individual characters weapon stat influences it.

And, I think Friars should be pretty optimistic about getting some fixes/improvements in some of the next patches. How Mythic chooses to do that is yet to be seen, but that they will do -something- should be pretty likely.

As a scout i'm even more fucked, pisspoor melee is even worse, even harder to land slam and now bow is fucked over on poisons aswell :|
