Three long bloody years we've waited and finally!

Infiltrator, Nightshade and Shadowblade

- The Strength/Con poisons have been replaced with Weaponskill/Con poisons. There has been no change made to the level required to use these poisons. Currently owned STR/CON poisons will not be altered, however Strength/Con poisons have been replaced with the Weaponskill/Con poison in tradeskill menus and in all merchant inventories. The amount of Weaponskill and Con debuffs are as follows:

Poisons 22: 12% Weaponskill & 45 Con
Poisons 29: 16% Weaponskill & 61 Con
Poisons 37: 20% Weaponskill & 81 Con
Poisons 47: 25% Weaponskill & 108 Con

An even debuff base!

About fookin time!

Good news acording to some. Not to me.

I was quite happy with all the infils and nightshades that were thrust specced.
After that patch we will see alot of nightshades atleast running around with Malice/Champ weap.

Clueless FTW - and congrats for giving me even less reason of speccing Pierce :)

Im guessing on the one hand the SB is happy my Pierce NS can potentially be debuffed for 12,5% more.

Unfortunaly on the other hand it means me speccing Blades + still abusing Remedy giving me approx 12% damage more then before (on a typical SB)

Yeah, it's a silly change. A shame they didn't pick up the "assassins immune to poisons" strategy instead.

they will let old str/con be ingame, means if you save the old ones and apply those, you can also apply new ws/con aswell.

remedied NS vs doubledebuffed SB=SB win!!1111 in suckyness for the SB.

Someone didnt think this through properly I think ;)

I hope they don't leave this in, running ws/c and s/c would be a little ott and house vaults have a LOT of space :p

edit: Damn you Shike!

Ah, that gotta be changed before release. I could easily stack some 100.000 s/c poisons if needed. That'd just be silly.

easy solution is that those debuffs dont stack at all. Perhaps that is how it already works.

1.81D isn't the final part of the patch, I'm hoping at some point they also make some adjustments to armour tables ;) but this is far from a fix for SB's a small step in the right direction tho imo.

Common sense says they shouldn't stack, Mythic will probably realise a patch or two later.

How fun, won't stand a chance versus sb's and nightshades now.

Way to go Mythic.

So basically, my hp will go down to 1200 (without str/con) and my ws down to 1000+-?

It's only test server notes when it's live I hope they have the sense to remove/change existing str/con poisens would imagine they wont allow ppl to double debuff ppl.

Two things:

* Your class had no chance before against any decent assassin worth his salt (and being buffed). Perhaps with alot of luck and RA/ML-dumping you win, and this poison-change will not change that much.

* You're a healing hybrid, with groupability and lots of tools to bring to a group. Exactly what makes you think you should beat assassins in straight-melee? Just because stealthers are currently lacking against visibles, doesnt mean every assassin should just lay dead when meeting a visible :D

hmm dunno if theres more str/dex classes what hunter/friar and valkyrie?
friar has more role, very evil 1v1 class, nerf to hunter if not spec to sword, and valkyrie.

personally what find most fun in this testpatch, its again nerf to valkyrie, guess assasins/archers was asking it? :)

Savages are STR/DEX aswell as all Thrust/Pierce-users in Hib/Alb

If I were specced for straight up melee, and had a template supporting that I would give up a hell of a fight.

I've beaten some of the best stealthers on the server, but ofc I purged and probably used ST.

Why should I have a less chance than anyone else if I've specced for doing so?

Edit:

"Just because stealthers are currently lacking against visibles, doesnt mean every assassin should just lay dead when meeting a visible :D" - When will you stop twisting the words of others? I expect good fights versus stealthers, which I sometimes get. You really need to stop assuming or twist the words of others.

I've NEVER said I expect stealthers to fall dead on the ground if they encounter me.

And I die more than I win when I go solo, but atleast I'm having fun and I stand a chance (because they dont' have a dex debuff).

With a ws debuff it will mean that I stand less a chance of hitting them due to evade 7 and my crappy ws.

That's why I got annoyed, I am in no need of having you commenting that if you didn't understand what I meant in the first place.

Elendar, it's far from the same situation.
Friar's got 1400 ws at rr6 with 39 - 44 staff while a skald has what? 1800+?

This just fucks up the friar's weaponskill even more.

Friars have the same WS as Thanes, Wardens, Minstrels, Assassins and Archers.

So, from that perspective I cannot symphatize with the Friars Woes. The problem is that this now makes little reason to go Pierce/Thust for other stealthers, which means the Slash vulnurable Mid Leather/Studded are going to meet much more Slash using opponents. Combine that with the artifact setups and what was meant as a help to SB's, have the potential to be yet another nerf.

if only, rr10 norse skald, i have 1750ish ws with 46 hammer spec :)

edit: rr6 with 44 hammer would be in the mid 1600s i guess, not that huge a difference
