I know I saw your group set up ..It was good ..partly because what u ran with was all rr 8 plus and on vent etc and knew how to play but the current our group with kippie on eld looks more effective no ?
You werent around when rr3-4 VW group took on most groups except groove (barely) and AD (AD annihalted us o_o) :p?

My point is anything is viable when planned right.

being rr8+, using vent and having nice teamplay has nothing to do with the group setup you use. people think they will magically own everything when they start a group, but it really doesn't work like that :p

takes a lot of dedication and willpower to keep a group going, and this is why most of the 'setgrps' formed in one day will fail. people don't realise its not so easy to make and hold a group together.

once you have a group of 8 dedicated people, the setup really doesn't matter so much. 3 bm's isn't optimal (yet viable still), id really swap one of them for champ/eld.

but more importantly, get the people first, setup later :p i can bet a lot of money a group like this without extremely proper preparing will fail within a few months. i don't mean to demoralize you, but ive seen it happen so often :p

yep, thats a nice way to demonstrate my point :p

6 crazy spaniards, some eastern richboi and me running a 3 valewalker group. setup doesn't get much more crazy then that (in of, pre-toa anyways) but they were all very dedicated.

we got farmed by groups with a good guardbot (hi2u groove) over and over and over again but eventually we started stretching the fights longer and killing some of the other groups out that time (bc/rg at lake!).

right people >>>>> teamwork >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> setup

Why are set groups, especially in the US, running with matter leggies? Wouldn't cold be more reasonable? Plate is vulnerable, studded is vulnerable, only leather is resistant. Or is it because people will neglect matter more likely than cold, or because red matter resist buff is more rare than cold?

don't know if this has anything to do with it but many mids tend to leave out matter in their templates since it's a rather uncommon source of damage.

and for the grp: go go go, hope you make it :) always fun with more grps out in RvR :D
