Just wondering, am i really the only one using LFG flags. Every time i set lfg, im the only one lfg..
Why is nobody using it, its actually a powerfull tool for getting grps. I noticed on alb excal theres always someone your lvl lfg, and i could easily find grps.. Ofc it has something to do with larger population, but not all i reckon.
I'd like your opinion on the subject plz

You would most certainly like to group with someone you know, someone you trust, or any player that you find friendly, helpful or experienced. In my opinion, meeting nice players comes from experience, nothing else. Those players probably belong in the actual player's guild or friends list which makes them easy to contact.

By using the 'lfg' flag, you never know who you might end up with, and I've had my share of bad experiences already. Guess that scares off quite afew players.

Well the lfg command was widly used in mid/prywden before Toa and moderna. It fell out of use when lvl 20 command arrived (in my opinion the worst idea of mythic ever...) and the last traces of it dissipated with moderna and toa. No real need to look for group if you just go to 1 place and powerlevel your char there. (Even though I use moderna more than most its still not something I think makes the game better for the community).

But to conclude unfortunatly it has fallen out of use and ALOT of non lvl 50s with lvl 50 bots are suffering for it...since its now almost impossible for them to find groups. What can you do about it ? Urge all to use the lfg command and keep reminding them here on FH!

I use LFG all the time well that is a lie, actually I only use it if I am lfg, but quite often none the less. It is very rare that I get a group from using lfg though

/spank Midgard for not being open to meeting new friends.. After all this is a MoG use LFG and meet new and strange / interesting people.

I've used LFG a few times in the past, and I agree it was more used before /level and moderna. But still, lfg tool in DAoC is vacant not only in mid/pryd, but also in hib/excal where I also play (can't speak for other realms ofc).. compared to a game like EQ, daoc lfg tool is worthless and nobody uses it which is quite a shame. Now a days I don't use it anymore. I group with friends and my brother, and if we need more, we use /br in svasud and keeps.

If you're lfg a lot Ele, gimme a shout when I'm rvr'ing on Nausilus - I never run in fg's, but roam with my brother which is quite a lot of fun (only run in fg's for keep defences and if any -raids)

Good thread man, i know i use it way too seldom than i should. I'm going to start using it constantly from now on.

I agree Mid with all it's Ubbah BBs(having both buffs and End) are a suxer realm for grp'ing.

When I play Alb/Excal (still do once in awhile >;-), LFG sometimes in prime time have 2 pages of ppl LFG. So my conclusion is that it's the BBs that ruins Midgard grouping.

Best solution would be to make buffs grp only, like resists are nowadays. Would more a big diff for grp'ing IMHO, and would'nt kill anything.

Only tried Hib onces, so don't know their lvl'ing rutines !

And yes I got BBs too ;-)

I use it all the time but as stated above rarely get a group from it, I have had a few bad experiences but far more good ones, thats the fun of it, met Eleannor when leveling my healer Tombe and a few other great people so it should be encouraged.

Well, to freely quote Charlie P. "The only cat worth anything is the cat taking chances" You have to take a chance once in a while and you might actually meet some very nice people, like Eleannor, just by being a bit adventuresome from time to time.

Even if you meet someone that cant play well, heck, spend some time helping the guy rather than rushing off after an "accident" in the game which seems to be the midgård way of playing. Have to admit I thought I used the LFG incorrectly after it was remade in a patch as it never listed anyone in the window.
