excal and prydwen have the same ip? 193.252.123.33

Well, .177 is still pingable, wether the old server is there or not, I don´t know. But excal is the one you log in to anyways, so.

Yes, same here, seems excal-IP is blackholed or something. I can reach (via ICMP PING and traceroute) prydwen (193.252.123.177) but not excalibur (193.252.123.33).

Annoying.
Sweden BBB here (malmö)
I can ping 193.252.123.33
but not 193.252.123.177

I wonder if GOA is aware of this problem. I was online earlier this morning, was a bit laggy but nothing serious, now I can't even get through to the updater.

You know the drill by now, post your ping plots, its not always OT or GOAs fault people LD dispite misconceptions.

the amount of people having same problem which nseems to be spread all over europe tells me it aint nothing to do with our conections etc etc... but somthing other than that wether it be goa ot etc etc.. but certainly not our fault :(

Globalcrossing appears to have vanished from the internet, I can't reach their website at all.
This Wikipedia article makes for interesting reading.

You should contact your ISPs as it's their responsibility to route you onwards even though the fault isn't in their network. If they are routing you to a dead hub then they aren't providing the service you're paying them for.

It's everything to do with your connections. It's not to do with an individual ISP but the way that all those ISPs route to the Goa servers is being blocked by a third party provider. If you contact your ISP and manage to get past the know-nothing 'helpdesk' muppets, the pingplot data will help them to reroute you down a route that works. Just make sure they don't fob you off by checking the connection from your home to their backbone as they'll find no problems and tell you there's nothing wrong.

It's nothing to do with Goa, it's a company called Globalcrossing who have fallen off the internet, the ISPs that route through them don't seem to have realised that there's a problem yet and so route tables haven't changed. Goa cannot do anything here.

Most direct way tbh would be :

Community notices a problem all over europe. E&E tries to contact a GM. GM kicks GoA network division who in turn kicks some ass at Global Crossing. Global Crossing makes GoA look bad (Customer point of view)

You got to admit that 700 ppl on the english cluster on a saturday afternoon is a bit silly.

Yes and no.

For sure goa cannot be blamed for whatever globalcrossing do but still this is like the 212th connectivity issue we have had to the servers in France.

http://www.globalcrossing.com - talk to them, GOA are not responsible for problems on other networks. They will probably get the same reply we do if we email OT, "Sod off, your not our problem!".

I already did, hours ago, quite a long email with lots of info and explanation.. but as every other network companies, theyre prolly BBQ'ing with dancing hula-girls feeding them free cocktails, while laughing out loud about all the money they earned the first part of the year :drink: :drink:
