I know a lot of the regulars on here work in computers. Just got sent this from Hays.

Senior Server Engineer

Warwickshire Up to £38,000 + Benefits.

My client is a world leading games developer with their Head office in rural Warwickshire. This opportunity has arisen from the set up of a new division, MMO ( masively multi- player online). This is an excellent opportunity to join a cutting edge company at the forefront of technology.

To find out more, please call
Jason Granelly 02476 555366
coventry.it@hays.com

I'm to poor to even think about moving at the moment. But thought i'd pass this on in case anyone else is looking.

I'd only advise that new MMOs don't have a very good record of continued business plans.

A shithole - the rough bits are like Manchester in a smaller space, the nice bits are still rough and worst of all, it's infected with students.
Not a great deal to do either, i prefer Northampton for a night out - and thats saying * a lot*

A lot of nice places nearby though :nuneaton itself isnt too bad, Warwick and Leamington Spa are alright. I'd be driving from northampton anyway

More likely to be Codemasters who are based in leamington spa. I'd imagine the Server support they need is for http://www.codemasters.co.uk/rfonline/index.php which is released to beta testing shortly

Whilst Coventry isn't the nicest place in the UK I think calling it a shithole is a bit harsh :s

There's some nice areas - but I'd agree, choice of night out isn't great

I'd apply if I had a slight inkling about what a server engineer does!

Codies' offices are nice; quite rural. Coventry is a shithole but you wouldn't have to/want to live there. Warwick is v. nice.

Coventry is a bit of a hole but you don't need to live there. The surrounding towns/rural areas are some of the nicest I've seen.

Leamington Spa is a nice wee town and very close. Warwick in general is gorgeous.

Well from someone that lives in Warwick / Leamington I would say its better than most. Nice nights out and probably the best restaurants in the area.

Agree totally on Coventry though, rough areas... but then most places have there bad spots.

That engineer job... sounds like one for Codie's... I don't remember seeing another MMO type group than them in Warwickshire.
