as server droped i saw this big purple Draclv WW walking upto me at H, wonder if im dead of my nice BD healer pets kindly didnt ld :p

The server seems proper f*cked at the moment.. It showed 'Open' status 10 minutes or so after I first LDed, but then quickly changed it's mind again.

It might be some kind of non-recoverable hardware failure, if that's the case who knows when it'll be back *sigh*
GIFV new dual xeon machines :)

Might be some kind of DoS attack too, I'm guessing we'll find out tomorrow morning when GOA wakes up...

We pay more cash, and server gets more laggy and crashes more.

Hmm...a cynical person might ask themselves where the money went? Because it certainly hasn't gone into upgrading the almost-unplayably-laggy-for-bleeding-ages server.

think GOA expect us to continue paying to supply them with ANOTHER server when we haven't got 3 ourselves... we cant even play on all 3 realms fgs.[/moan]

we had an alb zerg at renaris for keep retakes and no doubt the hibs we just wiped were coming back with more numbers to farm, since alb is always busy anyway we prolly did it :( and i was so close to RR3 on me mincer, givf new server!

No, that doesn't bring the whole server down to it's knees, only certain areas.

AFAIK every server consists of at least 5 machines (from daoc.it screenshots): Lobby, Albion, Midgard, Hibernia, Dungeons.

It would seem that either the Lobby server is FUBAR, or there is some DoS attack going on.
