Server clustering?

Hey guys! I haven't played for like ½ a year or so, but my friend informed me that they were going to cluster the servers and make instanced RVR areas? Is this true?

If so, maybe its worth playing my prydween toons again =) RVR was so dead over there with no clustering.

When are they going to cluster the servers?

They did an official poll recently asking if we wanted to merge with prydwen, and asking us which zones we wanted merging.

I think the general result was yes to the merge and yes to 2 toa/housing zones but dont hold me to that.

Yes they haven't announced the result, but its very likely yes for RvR at least. I assume it will be with the 1.75 release, so mid-june if I remeber correctly.

Errrm, they are only going to cluster one zone - and I would imagine everyone chose the RvR one. They can not cluster the housing zone, because (as they stated clearly in the news) you'd end up with 2 houses on top of each other.

I don't think it makes it instanced - basically just means anyone who ventures into Frontiers from either Pryd or Excal will end up in the same frontiers, able to fight anyone.

Like someone else said - we can all watch even more people glitch by... lagtastic.

isnt there a hard limit to the amount of toons+pets that can be in NF at the moment if this is true, then would this be a problem for Relic raids etc

not sure if the limit is still in place but remember have a discussion in game about it with a mate of mine a while ago

i think the rvr zones will merge and both excal and pryd will have access to each others housing zones..

LOADS of people seem to be re-roling alts on opossing server so they can fight there own guild mates on clustered server. so if it goes ahead IMO the servers realms will be pretty damn even and i suspsect the FG rvr is gonna be fun also cos i have seen a cple of guilds that seem to be rolling on hib/pryd.
