Nice idea. Tomorrow I will greet everyone in peace. I will not attack anyone. In memory of all those innocent people who died by terrorist acts. Not only those of 11th of september but all of them in the history of mankind. May we life in peace one day.

I will be there to show my respect for the innocent victims of september 11th and to the 1000s of familys that lost a sister, brother, mom, dad, husband and wife that day.
Politics, religion and nations have nothing to do with this

There is many oppinions and point of views about making a memorial event for last years tragedy, many good and many bad arguments, but this is an endless discussion, and thats why I requested to keep it away from here.. go make one in general discussion or something instead, and keep this clean for gods sake.
well, in my eyes it doesnt really matter where, when or how you choose to show your respect. All in all, it is not something you do to show/proove anything to anybody else, it is something you (should) do for your own beliefs. I can only imagine that a good bunch of the active excalibur players we got, lost some friends/family last year, and maybe it would warm their heart to see so many sending a thought out to the souls that were lost and to those who remained with a great loss in their life.
So if you choose to do it in hadrians tomorrow ingame, or if you choose to do it some other way, then thats fine.
There is lots of other tragedies in this world and also bigger ones than the one last year, but that should not be any reason not to be willing to show ur condolences. 'Selective Sympathy'
The title of a newspaper article in ireland yesterday.
It basicly says that when an eastern country has a war/natural disaster that costs thousands of lives you see a 3/4 day coverage of it and thats it.
Once somehting happens to America you gor veryone blaring it and eagre to kill/bombs a lot ore innocents to get 'revenge' on one person ( or a few dozen ) ordered this to happen.
If you want to have a silence to respect the memory to the dead civilions will you have a silecne for the people of africe who die of starvation/disease? Will you have a silecne for the 100,000 people who died in the earthquake in Japan?
Arnor is right in the way Americans think that they are more important cos they are probbly the bigest power, but the last to act. Terrosits bombings in eastern countries althugh not on as large a scale as the twin towers, did America intervene? No
A few months ago 7 Irish peackeepers died in a bombing, there was a memorial over here and services dedicated to them and its not a thing we shall forget, but what did America do? They 'condemned it' , but as soon as they are attacked they sudennly jump into action. This 'War on Terrorism' has gotten half of america saying 'bomb mecca, bomb iraq, bomb the whole goddamn country, cos we can' .
The thing that sickens me is that when people like Arnor gives his opinion you people totaly shoot him down cos is not the way you see things, you a fucking hypocrits. The things he said are true, that 3000 dead is nothing compared to the loses of other countries, but America thinks they can do anyhting they want, they dont get their way so they send men to kill men and they die so they send more men, an endless cricle of death.
If I chose to bow my head and say a silent farewell to the dead I will so, not because people are pissed that America cant bomb someone, not because you people as well and America in general basicly DEMAND that we stop for their losses, but of my own accord.
Read my post a few times, think of other people, read everyone elses posts and then respond, if you feel you have to flame soemone for their opinion then you are no worse than the man who ordered an A-bomb onto Hiroshima 60 odd years ago, 80,000 soldiers, innocents and children wiped out in an instant.
I have nothing against people organising this meeting to pay respects but when you criticise another persons views and you deny the truth......
I'll kleave it at that cos I am pissed off with peoples reactions

Look Rahvinn, first of all people have different opinions. This is how it shall forever be. And secondly we didn't 'shoot arnor down' in any way. We just pointed out that we (well sub actually, but i agree) wanted this thread free of political discussions. But I guess you can't decide how things should be on internet forums since they are a place for people to express their opinions. I won't express mine, but I will pay my respects to those souls that died to the terrorist acts on september 11th.

Sorry for potentially adding to some kind of flame on a thread where it doesnt belong Sub, but can someone please point out to Rahvinn that the ethnic and cultural mix of the people in the buildings attacked was not American, but drawn from a wide cross section of the world's communities; Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu...you name a caste or a nation that wasn't affected and I would be very surprised. Correct me if I am wrong but the building(s) in question was the "World Trade Cente" ??? You want to have a pop at the yanks, feel free m8 - and I'll probably back you up with respect to some issues, but please bugger off and do it on another thread. There are some of us who lost friends there who weren't American.

great idea Sub, I will be there to pay respect to those who died even thou I agree with Rahvinn and Arnor also. But please let atleast those who wishes for this memorial have it in peace for atleast 5-10 minutes
Tradgedy is happening around us everyday, we can atleast try and help those mourning by sending a peaceful thought

Ohh and for all them Having a dig at US, why ohh why were my 3 Old school Friends In that building at the time, (they work for one of the banks that, have offices there) I didnt know this until I went to a recent School reunion, and was told about it, ohh and before you ask they were not American, just happened to work for an American company.
So show some bloody respect.
