Its hard to believe the stupidity - first buying 2 young kids petrol quad bikes (pretty dangerous toys - lots of people have been killed or seriously injured on them) - did the guy have private land for them to use? - looks iffy.

Then letting 2 young kids drive the quad bikes on the public highway behind the dads car - totally illegal etc. and they could have caused an accident that killed someone else just as easily...

Stupidity on this scale must be made an example of surely?

I'm baffled by his thinking.. I wouldn't dare let kids on a Quadbike anywhere without proper teaching..

I rode one for the first time over the summer for a brief while and it was not easy.. without experience its very easy to completely lose control..

Stupid man.. I pity all of them involved, its a horrible thing to have on your conscience and it'll be with him and his family for the rest of their lives.

I feel very sorry for the lady involved in the collision, even if she wasn't paying 100% attention.

Not according to the bbc article Trem, the car that hit them was travelling in the opposite direction.

I suppose it could have been their nanny, but she would have had nothing to do with them riding the quad bikes that day as she was going towards them, not with them.

It gets worse - this took place at 19:00 which means it would have been pitch black on an unlit country road - the whole things just amazing!!!
