Have to say I'm gobsmacked, didn't expect him to leave Arsenal unless he retired and what is it with Man City and ancient 'keepers? First Schmeichel and now Seaman. Madness.

Also there appears to be progress on the Beckham front with Man Utd admitting they're in talks with Barcelona.

Seaman is still a premiership class keeper, nut no longer a champions league keeper.

Once he finishes his stint at Man City I'm sure he will return to Arsenal to coach.

As for Beckham, he is currently a big fish in a lake ...

Seaman to Man City - good deal for Man City, imo. They know he's only got a year or so left in him. They also know there aren't really any decent keepers available for what they're willing to pay, especially not with both Arsenal and Man U making it clear that a new keeper is their priority. Everyone laughed at them buying Schmeichel, but he did them proud last season - don't write Seaman off yet.

Ronaldinho - PSG have said they're not releasing him. It's probably showboating to try and increase the Man U bid (reported at 9mill atm) or even get another club involved to compete, but it means the move's not certain yet.

No way will Beckham go to Barca. "... going to barcelona would make him a normal fish in an ocean" what a load of bollocks. Barca didn't even qualify for the Champions League next season - I can't see Beckham having fun in the Intertoto Cup. Barca always lose out to Real, right back to the days of Franco. If Real want him badly enough they'll get him. If not, he's more likely to go to Milan or Inter. If he goes to Barca I'll eat my monitor.

As for him losing status if he moves - that's half the reason clubs want to buy him, especially Real, to kick off their marketing in places like SE Asia (where Beckham is massive).
