Hello Peeps,

I bought Windows XP Pro and Office XP and have sold the machine [that came with XP home(I reformatted so no software was on it)]. Can I sell the 2 pieces of software as both of them were bought OEM?

Many thanks,

Khan

"OEM licenses for Microsoft operating system software are not transferable from one machine to another, even if the PC on which it was originally installed is no longer in use. The OEM license is tied to the original PC on which it was installed."

Thats Microsofts official line. It doesn't apply in Germany, apparently.

Afaik, those things mean nothing. It's like the stuff in game manuals, that say you aren't allowed to rent/sell/lend the game etc etc...

I think that "fair use" over-rides their licensing crap, so feel free to sell it... Should anyone try and say you're wrong and that you can't sell it, i would suggest that you beat them with a large stick...
