Selling phones.

Anyone used the likes of fonebank, Mazuma mobile etc to flog their phones? I don't trust them till I hear one of you lot has used them successfully!

I used Mazuma a few years back, didn't have any problems. Sent the phone off to them and a week later got my Argos vouchers. They used to give you more in vouchers than cash and we needed a few bits for the house...not sure if they still do.

Regularly see cheques being paid into peoples accounts from Mazuma.

They are fine if you your phone is free of damage (otherwise they'll give a lot less than quoted), but the money they give you is poor.

Try CEX also if you want a quick sale.

Gumtree / ebay if you want more cash.
