Self Spamming from the future

Probably should put this in the tech section, but it may interest others who do not often traipse off to the wilds of the tech fora.

I received email this morning, from myself, apparently from sometime in 2007.
This came to an inbox that has had about 3 spam emails in the 4 years I have had it for. The recipient and sender fields were the same email address and it was mine. I am a little bit freaked out, why am I sending myself porn spam from the future ???

Anyone seen this ? is it perfectly normal and I have just been lucky till now ?

yeah, it's not really that hard to do. just treat it like you'd do any other spam.

tbh my home email has been discovered by the spammers. I had over 100 emails yesterday. too lazy to update my protection though. they're all about (fake) rolexes btw :/

I'm more wanting to know what's happened that put my home email addy on the lists tbh. or I could update my anti-spam measures, but I want to get outside hosting as is and they will have it anyway so it's a moot point tbh.

Or am I talking rubbish?
