Segway

The idea of paying nearly $5000 for a vehicle that only goes 12.5 MPH, a lot less than I can do on my bike, and can only travel a rather shit 15 miles off one battery charge is crazy.

This method of transport might have limited success in the US but over here we don't have the streets or the same type of people, basically those who are stupid enough to pay for such an item that actually doesn't seem to sit well in the middle ground....plus it looks utterly stupid :)

Would you like one?

Yeah saw that the other day, he isn't the first to fall off one and no doubt won't be the last :)

The thing's got gyoscopes that keep it upright, aparently though trying to surf the handlebars is too much for the machine. Go Bush!

Yeah, so's a bike. They're called wheels.

Bike > Segway

(Not least because Bike.cost < Segway.cost)

That's disgraceful David, have you paid no attention in your Java lectures? You should have methods to extract those cost.. fool. :p See how you've broken the encapsulation... They'd never have let that get by at UMIST...

Uni students need a working program to tell them which of two numbers is the highest?

Wow, I can see why they're so superior :/

Bike Wheels != Gyroscope. Otherwise a bike could stand up on it's own, foo.

It's an interesting prototype but thats about it. Like you say, a bike is a billion times more useful. The segway can't even do small ledges, like 1 inch, without getting all in a strop. When they make one that can do 40 miles an hour, has 100 mile range and takes bumps like Colin Mcrae, it'll be worth the asking price.

No, if you had read the entire source code you would realise that Bike and Segway are actually not classes, but merely instances of structured variable types, and as such require no methods :p

And it was C++, not Java.
