So I contemplated popping this in the console section but being USB it's for my PC so there.

Anyway, I hear these are the nuts but I'm having trouble sourcing one outside of ebay/China and I'm concerned about authenticity/build quality/whatever.

Anyone know a good/reasonably priced place to get one?

Ta!

Bought both of mine from China on eBay and they are different (one black and one grey). Both are great, authentic or not.

I heard the white ones were poor but that might have changed since I got mine.

If you want something w/ some gauranteed last to it - checkout the fightpads - they are very similar to saturn pads.

I actually just got a fightpad and it's pretty decent (though what the hell is the deal with the shoulder button layout?). Was hoping to get a saturn one too and you've reassured me, Wij. I'll grab one from ebay, ta!

If its for pc games I recommend the xbox360 for windows controller, works with an xbox360 aswell to boot.

Using the right software you can have 24 assignable buttons (sticks can be bound to keys using something like xpadder). 8 on sticks, 4 on dpad, 2 shoulders, 2 triggers, start, back, A, B, X, Y and the sticks push in for a further two buttons. Even usable for MMOs.

Oh I've got a wireless receiver for my PC so I've got a wireless 360 pad hooked up to it, it's good for stuff that uses analogue but the dpad is made of utter fail. I've been playing a lot of FF7, FF8 and wanting to get into SF4 hence the need for a decent pad, ideally with 6 face buttons. Gunna see about grabbing a saturn pad.

These pads are good, I have two and bought them off ebay. I also use two xbox360 pads and two PS3 sixaxis pads for different games and emulators. Oh and a few years I also did a USB conversion on an old quickfire joystick for use with 8bit emulators :)
