I've got to pack all my stuff up tomorrow for the big emigration to Australia thingy. It'll take 2 months for all our gear to be shipped over, and I don't know if we'll have the internet out there or what, 'cus its a bit of a weird area we're going to. So be good, and I'll be here in a few months asking how you get a spider out of your computer!

(And yes, I'll try and get Aussie beach babe pix :D)

I do envy you. I'd not mind living in Oz. Out of curiosity, what line of work are your folks in Mobius?

btw, some tips from a guy who grew up in the indonesian bush, you say weird area and I instantly think "bush" so.....check your bed before you lie in it, check your shoes before you put them on, your towels before you dry off, don't chase snakes and *never* stamp on cockroaches ;)

good luck!

My dad films horse racing for channel 4, as well as install all the equipment and drive it to the racecourses (well he did until they laid half there staff off, which is partially why we're leaving) so hes probably going to look for a job in that field. My mums taking a hairdressing university course (shes been a welfare lady at a school for about 15 years and worked in surgeries etc), as well as working part time. I'm going to be doing an accounting course at Kingscliff university., and my brother and sister are gonna go to school over there.

ah cheers! you see, when I was in New Zealand I did an emigration test for the hell of it and they wanted nothing to do with reasonably well educated IT folk like myself, iow I'd be denied if I applied. That's why I was curious what you guys did :)

yes, I know Oz != NZ, but there you go :)

Yeah, Racetech. He reckons he might end up having to work in a different field, because there isn't that much demand over there.

He'll be very lucky to find work over there, the rates are very poor. There are a heck of a lot of aussie cameramen in this coutry due to this fact.

Be sure to pop over to my little country for a visit!

Oh, and remember to take some very strong sun tan cream with you - Aus are going thru a major heatwave atm.

Have fun!

(And watch out for the sharks, and snakes, and spiders and well, you get what I mean ;) )

Good luck. I'm pretty sure I'd fail miserabley at emigrating. Mainly as I'd be to scared to get on the plane ;) You can get boats there though, can't you?

Good luck. Try not to get brutally raped, or anything.

Mind you, I suppose that's good advice wherever you live.

I think I got a train through that town Mob, been to Coffs harbour, which seems to be the nearest big town. It is quiet. Nice beaches along that stretch though. Go up to Byron Bay if you get a chance, nice place to visit (and lots of young nubile backpackers).

One more thing, when you get connected and read this. Do the Oz experience up and down the gold coast. Perfect way for you to see the sights, and party with lots of British backpackers.

If you're a Olde Times convict, then yes.
