i land @600 dmg every 15 secs + what i it for on wep .

even if u have 50 + 20 in slash assasins will mostly evade youre hits so u cant cound on hitting more then lets say 1/3 of youre hits and every time u miss u get that bloody evade chain in youre face.
i tried all melee capped slash 100 str and still had crap dmg output and alot of miss.

with lots of charisma youre dds wont get resisted as much as it will in the template youre making .
i have killed rr5 + assasins without even lifting my weapons.

u will try this at some point i did after speaking with the great one on exc .
and found the damage will be alot better.
thinking a mincer can hit hard is like hoping a pally can :)

Charisma affects resist rate? Not the level of the DD? Logs please! ;)

I believe you. I'm definately not saying mincer DD's are useless (especially if you are a skilled kiter/mezzer/stunner). I'm saying that their damage over time doesn't outweigh melee damage over time.

thinking a mincer can hit hard is like hoping a pally can :)

I don't think a mincer or a pally hit hard. But a mincer is not a nuker, either. Melee is not strong, but neither is the DD damage output (even when you dump silly amounts of RPs into RAs). Since mincers have weak melee and DD damage output the goal should be to maximise that damage output most efficiently.

show me a template with 11 slash 100 cha 400 hits and melee spd and some str cap.

would love that one :) i just told i have better dmg output now and when i had str cap and +11 slash and melee spd what u hit for wont change much.

so make template with the thought its gonna take a long bloody time to kill me then u have most use of youre spells also. so lods of hp etc

what type of golm do mincer get btw ?

Well, since you have mezz, stun, and speed the timer doesn't matter much. I mean, when I jump a non-stealth i first get 2 free DDs, then after mezz I have another 2 DDs then Im landing a stun which means I will be able to hit and still not lose as much hp during the timer, then Im landing another 2 DDs and thats kidna settles the fight. Here is another thing I agree with, Minstrels have so much things to avoid from getting hit, mezz, stun, speed, and since we mostly are highlanders, we get alot of hp and our little absorb shield removes damage, so then we can live long enough to use our DDs since the only thing they could be avoided in is resist, while a normal hit can miss, be blocked, evaded, parried.

Well, I did know flute quality affected duration, however I guess I just asumed that instruments did something good for some part of the mezz ;)

didnt make it all that fancy, he made a briton (ye ye i know sucky class), and he wanted me to focus alot on the melee dmg, and i know it could use a few more + hit's but he seem's to be able to take a good beating :D

omg at all these replies xD
i dont wanna make a template atm cause i am too bored .
ok here are some tips ..
First of all i would like to remind u that u cant cap everything with minstrel .
so u have to pick what u want to cap ..
As long as u want a meelee minstrel .. dont even bother with charisma .
and dont even bother having 50 instruments .. i was meelee minstrel .
with specc 45 instru , 39 slash , 28 stealth for a very long period ..
and i think i was ok ..
But one day my brother ( maramar ) convinced me to test the damage
of the DDs on full power .. so i increased my charisma and saw a BIG
difference .. after that , i figured.. why not put an AT . and i saw a big
difference there as well . why i am telling these ? well cause i think that
DD specc mins = best mins ..
so as long u cant have everything capped on mins template i would go
for very high charisma ..
some tips ..
High HP cap .
AT = da best
eirines > gov . ( reminding ARROGANCE = + 50 to all stats .. EVEN if that
doesnt work on str/con/dex etc. ( cause u are buffed ) . IT DOES work
for charisma xD ) ( if i am wrong someone correct me plz )
no need for str cap ...
you do need +11slash ( less evades for enemies )
and 10 meelee speed .

Btw IMOZ if u want to be evil get some heaters / cold weapons ..
and use str/con debuffs from an infil that applies them to u..
I DONT LIKE IT .. and i dont do it ( for now ) but i am very mad .
cause i saw galid's video and he has 1231414 weapons on him and uses the
uber poisons of the nightshades. . thats lotsa lame .. but i tell it
cause i am sure some peeps will do it.. and i wanna see galid's face
after that .

oh and here's my current template, it's like a "I win template" with Warlord ML path tbh :p just ask all the ppl who attack me and I get healed up by the heal procs :p

I even got accused for haveing a cleric healing me a week ago, was quite funny after I beated 3 Sb's xD

the only problem is to get the items, a lot of rare items in it tho :/

I think what he means is that It's not important to try to get a high str cap and instead focus on charisma and con/hits if you want to be a DD minstrel

And I think he was talking about if you wanna solo then you can lame alittle and have a friend infi put dots on your wpns... since rps are different in a duo

My problem was more that with the 4 stealth on the shield I only got to 7 stealth. So i'd need 8 stealth on a drum to make it upto 11 stealth if I wanted a stealthing drum, meaning the 4 on the shield were rather wasted :(

As long as u want a meelee minstrel .. dont even bother with charisma .

AT = da best
eirines > gov . ( reminding ARROGANCE = + 50 to all stats .. EVEN if that
doesnt work on str/con/dex etc. ( cause u are buffed ) . IT DOES work
for charisma xD ) ( if i am wrong someone correct me plz )
no need for str cap ...
you do need +11slash ( less evades for enemies )
and 10 meelee speed .

Btw IMOZ if u want to be evil get some heaters / cold weapons ..

cause i saw galid's video and he has 1231414 weapons on him and uses the
uber poisons of the nightshades. . thats lotsa lame .. but i tell it

after that .




I would say as wutae, Eirene is better then GoV. Best BP is the sidi one tho, the proc procs alot.

And AT+ Eirene + vhigh charisma rocks, it can be hard to find nice char cap stuff tho

In the end its all about how you play your character, /use battler, malice, winged helm, eirene, pots, stun ... side styles / back styles etc..

oh, the harb is really really nice to have in template tho, then u will be able to have battler on the back for the charge and Malice in main hand for debuff and /use2 aswell :D

the best is when the Sidi bp procs and cleric heal proc aswell xD
270 from BP when we have relics and 150+ if u'r lucky from cleric heal proc hehe
and the enemy hits u for 30 dmg xD

personally I >think< my DD's hit for about 200 both of them, against assasins I hit for 200-300 each swing with malice.

and yes I've tried high charisma aswell ;) just for a laugh I brought Aug Acurity 5 on my mincer, and /use2 on malice aswell so I had 388 charisma when I attacked a warrior and I "only" did 290 and 320 dmg with the DD's, so imo the DD's are very very nice ye, but the melee is still doing more dmg so rather cap that and spend RA pts on melee RA's like Aug Str and MoPain, I like that a lot for sure :)

I mean, when I jump a non-stealth i first get 2 free DDs, then after mezz I have another 2 DDs then Im landing a stun which means I will be able to hit and still not lose as much hp during the timer, then Im landing another 2 DDs and thats kidna settles the fight. While if I would be all fighting, the 2 first DDs wouldnt do as much dmg which is a mayor setback, and for the mezz duration when im waiting for the DDs to come back I wouldnt be able to hit anyway and those DDs would do so much less damage, then the rest of the fight I can hit as much as I want but since, with my way of playing, i would have taken down so much of my opponets hp without getting any dmg I can easily win because I also have alot of HP.

That's where I explained why high DD damage is useful.
