Sounds like she needs more than a court appearance. Sorry but I have been VERY drunk, never once been violent (only sick). I would never dream of waving around a knife/scissors and I certainly wouldn't damage stuff that does not belong to me.

This girl clearly has problems which need looking at now and not in a few years time when it could be too late.

Who the hell calls the cops on their friends, when they're simply drunk? Is this normal in the UK or...:eek6:

What happened to good old "put in bed let sleep off"?

Have to agree with that, wtf is your problem? Oo

This drunken bird sounds like she fell out of the nutnut tree and broke every branch as she crashed through

Waving a knife at the police isn't normal.

This girl has issues.

Never ask for legal advice on the net - go to an actual solicitor.

As the law stands no solicitor/barrister will give legal opinions on the net because they will be bound by the usual duty of care to clients so it would be madness.

You will only get opinions of non-legally qualified folk here.

Didn't the guy state "I don't want to give any details out"

The first thing a lawyer needs is details. So we can't help him if he's keeping shtum

no GPs yet mind. otherwise wed have quite the little business on our hands!

ahem... *points to pookie*

she's a GP tbh.

back on topic though i think you did the right thing i mean its crap that she could get a criminal record because of it but imagine if she had really gone nutso and hurt someone or herself then it would have been all "if only..."

i would say that if your friend was naiomi campbell she would most likely get off with a fine but seeing as shes not famous (or is she...) things may not work out as your expect but even if she does get made an example of and your friendship suffers because of it, its still a darn site better than finding her cutting chunks out of herself or someone else.

Will be is ok but actually qualified is not.

If you give advice in the role of a solicitor you are bound by a duty of care to your 'clients' even if you dont get paid etc. and if your advice is wrong and it causes them harm they are well within their rights to sue you.

That is why no sane solicitor will give free advice on the side - if they did they would be personally liable - usually it would only be their company thats liable and thats a bad liability to have since you can lose everything.

Random people giving advice is ok but dont expect it to be right :)
