Not sure what you mean but maybe just divide by 6 ? so x^2 +4x = 5
If it's solutions you are after there is a more general formula. The general formula takes quadratics of form ax^2 + bx +c =0 rather than x^2 + (b/a)x + (c/a) =0. But either way works.
