How do i prepare this for a second grade equation?

6x^2 + 24x = 30

I need to fit that upper equation into the formula. But i need to make the 6x^2 to x^2.

Not sure that I understand quite what you mean, but I think u just need to divide everything by six, so that it end up looking like this:

x^2+4x=5 and thus ending up with an x that equals one

Not sure what you mean but maybe just divide by 6 ? :) so x^2 +4x = 5

If it's solutions you are after there is a more general formula. The general formula takes quadratics of form ax^2 + bx +c =0 rather than x^2 + (b/a)x + (c/a) =0. But either way works.

you should be getting 1 and 5 for your solutions
