(Loosely based on The Night Before Xmas)

Twas the night before Xmas, and all through Emain,
Not a creature was stirring not even a Thane
Frontiers were quiet, the keeps all were dark
No enemy armies on the map made a mark
The Nightshades were nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of wizzes danced in their heads
And Bards all were silent, rangers asleep
Not even the Bainshees making a peep
When out at the door there arose such a clatter
Even the Firbolgs wondered what was the matter

Away to Dun Crauchon they flew like a flash
Making ready the cauldrons of oil in a dash
But what did they find standing there by the door
A ram decked in holly, what was that for?
The moon on the water surrounding the keep
Glistened on parcels piled up in a heap
And what to their wondering eyes should appear
But a group of good Albions, who said 'do not fear'
The elves looked with wonder at this strange sight
Why were they here late on Christ-mas night

At first they believed it must be a trick
Then a half-ogre stepped up, dressed as St. Nick
In a language the elves did not comprehend
He said, 'for today I come as a friend'
And turning the ram, he revealed its contents
Food fit for a king, and a sack of presents
The elves, still wary watched from the walls
As St Nick gathered the Albs great and small
But they heard them exclaim, as they ran out of sight
Happy Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
