Search function / viewing own posts ?

Why is the search function so terrible.

For example im trying to find the recent starcraft II thread

so go into advanced search and search for 'starcraft' in just the Daoc off topic section; 0 results. WELL DONE!

As I rememberd I had posted in it I clicked the 'find more posts by x'

Again it brings up about 70 really really old posts, before the update (a few weeks ago?) it did quite well and brought up your most recent posts in descending order, was very useful.

Now its just as shit as the standard search feature.

edit- As an incentive to fix it we will get less 'olds' with the same posts coming up again and again. Therefore less whine and hopefully a more pleasant offtopic atmosphere

Search has been 'disabled' for Off Topic iirc. It's on the list, but nothing will come up... Or atleast, it was.

Think it was something like bumping old threads or something, never found out/got told why.. I could be totally wrong btw, but I think I read it in feedback recently.

Well, easiest way to bump old threads is to go to the last page and pick up a thread from there... Not much of a reason to disable search imo.
Search is too usefull for a lot of things.

Although, the vB search hasn't been very good anyway...
I prefer using google, like this:

Sometimes.. The band actually does suck live, and you do not allways have to jump!
