after patch going rates I think are about
emerald 1g
saphire 3.5g
diamond 10g
on salvaging returns from seals are :
emerald - 1.5g
saphire 4.4- 4.8
diamond 14.7
therefore selling saphires at 5g to a trinketer is a full on rip off as they will lose approx 10 % for every seal they buy at 5g
If someone is after saphires seals to actually buy DF stuff then you can try to sell for 5g a seal but if you have a conscience you know you are ripping them off badly
For further confirmation check the VN boards - crafting section there is a good post there showing breakdown of seal salavge and return.

Yes, I'll buy in bulk.....sapphires/diamonds.
We need to buy the seals, not for profit (as such) but purely to help fund our crafting endeavours. We are a very small guild, made up of RL friends, hence funds are limited (only 1 level 50 in guild). Of course, we always pay the going rate or come to a mutually agreeable deal for bulk purchase - finding a seller seems to be the problem at the moment.
Please pm in game, Norbert or Grimslade and we can do some business.
On a personal note, if there are any seal farming groups in need of a 50 RM, I'm always up for it while I'm online (usually between 8.00pm and 12.00pm). I do enjoy a good prince raid, when DF is open that is....what's happened lately? I did try to solo 'Done Crouching' (is this the correct translation? - my Celt is a little rusty) but they managed to repel my frenzied onslaught.
