Sea Fishing and some Online Petitions

Ok, bit of a departure from usual FH fodder for me, but if any of you are (or have been) sea fisherman, then I hope you can take a bit of time to sign up to these (presuming you agree).

Even for those who arnt sea fisherman, but have an interest in conservation then the Bass size limit petitions should be of interest.

1) Objection to rod license for sea anglers

Ok, so it might be spam, but its something i feel strongly about. And if you dont agree with fishing then thats fair enough, that shouldn't stop you from at least looking at points two and three.

Surprisingly you can sign up to as many as you want to. Personally I dont give a crap about some rather rich people sitting on their cotswolds houses being taxed to kingdom come, but I do care about our marine wildlife, once its gone, its gone for ever, whereas once i'm gone I wont care about the amount of inheritance tax I pay.

If people stopped being so hung up on money, when they all ready have enough of it, they'd find their lives a lot better. I'd suggest they take up a pasttime, like sea angling, and forget about how much cash they get to pass on to their kids.

Granted, some types of fishing I find dull as dishwater - these guys who sit carp fishing for hours and hours and hours, but when your sitting in a beach cove, in the sunshine, with the sea lapping around you, looking over the irish sea, it lifts the soul.

Anyhow, thats besides the point, if you want to stop bass being fished to extinction, then support the last two petitions. If you aint a fisherman, the 1st one is irrelevant.

Personally I think its a fucking disgrace.

How can casual sea anglers be depleting the fish stocks? The main ones guilty of that are the Spanish trawlers.
