Wheel of Times' just better than anything else, but Im not sure it would work as movies Too long, just too much of everything to be able to get it into any movie.. But it would be great nontheless

Wheel of time is soooo boring to read, its almost as bad as Harry Potter =(

although I prefered David Gemmells story on the battle. Druss fucking rocks.

He has versions, the one with Druss, and in the Stones of Pwer series, he talks about the real one, as it set in ancient Greece (read the Lion of Macedon, bolldy good book, but bot as good as the Drenai series).

As for the real fight, as far as historians can best tell, there were a couple of thousand Greeks at Thermopoli, however there was only 300 Spartans. When the persian found a away around the pass, the rest of the Greeks retreated, and the Spartans stayed and got slaughtered to a man. However 300 looks about as accurate as the film Troy was to the Illiad.

As for Eragon, looks good although I haven't read the original series, and just because its a fantasy book, doesn't mean its a LotR's copy, there are other fanstasy books than LotR! <gasp>

I have read all of his books Just waiting on his wife to finish the troy trilogy then I can put to bed alot of books knowing there will never be any more :-(

Really enjoying reading Robin Hobbs books at the moment. Assasin trilogy was great, Liveship trilogy was very good and now I am onto the final book of the Tawny man trilogy.
