Started to get a really annoying problem. Last night and then twice again so far tonight my screen has frozen solid on main account pc. It has never done this before then. Game crashes in the background (can see that from my bot dropping out of grp) and then the thing sits for a few mins til it comes drops back to desktop.

I play on catas client same as I always have and with all the same kit. Not loaded anything recently except the latest Windows Updates maybe a week ago ( :( ) and system and cpu temps are unchanged.

Anyone got any ideas on what this is and how I fix it. Bloomin annoying to run solo all the way to some rvr and freeze up as soon as I get there.

Same problem here, except my comp reboots. Gettin really annoying.
Edit- When you mention it - it only started a day or two ago and might have been after I installed new windows update.

I went back to a previous Restore point ie before the last Windows Update and it hasn't frozen since. Hope thats it fixed but I don't really want to have to miss out on the Windows security fixes so its not a great situation.

Im not sure if this might help you, but I changed the AGP 3.0 Capability from 8X to 4X. Haven´t crashed since.
Pretty weird is tho that i haven´t experienced the crashes until lately and it´s always been on 8X up until now.

Im getting a silmilar problem, PC locks up when playing Camelot and have to hit the reset button, is the only way out. Did you manage to work out which Windows update patch it may have been?

According to my Restore calender I downloaded it on 9th August so I guess it must have only just come out around that date(my machine is set to notify Updates).

I also downloaded a hardware (network card) update from Microsoft at the same time.

I unloaded the lot of it so I don't know which particular part of the patch/update was the problem but my machine hasn't frozen-up since. :(
