IMO these bracers are useless, there's a very easy way to get +11 LB without bracers, like the gloves we found for morcharies in DF, +5 LB and +18 Dex/Qui, now that's something better to use your slots :)

This item is quite frankly going to become worthless when spellcrafting comes in, imagine two bracers of +6 LB giving you more than your cap, will not cost alot.

Aye matt I read that too, it will also be a REAL pain to get any good at. All these people going on about how great its going to be .. when it does finally come in there will be a loooong wait for anyone to get any good at it.

Didnt say that, if I could get hold of some easily then I would .. but i'm not gonna spend a small fortune/days of my time trying to get hold of some. They are not THAT great, and like Teador says there are plenty of +LB items about to get to that all important +11.

My bow adds +6!!

I know u didnt say it but someone did anyway yeah lyn barfog has lovely items i have 2 diamond maces from there and i cant wait to use them at 50.

the lvl 50 epic gloves are +5 longbow, and then bow of doom is +7, also mantle of the bowmaster is +2... the problem is if you want to use an uber 16.5 crafted great longbow. You will need to get that +4 longbow from somewhere else (2 bowmasters bracers).

You could chop and change your af100 studded arms for aqueous studded af88 +2 longbow.. your still +2 short of the cap. And you are completely wrong about there being "lots of items with +longbow" none of our epic rewards has +longbow.

Er .. so the level 50 epic gloves has +5 LB, but none of our epic rewards has +LB...

Interesting, gloves 5, cape 2, 2 or 3 from realm points sorted...

points gained from realm ranks are counted as separate from the point cap associated with items. e.g. a lvl 50 scout with +11 longbow in items and rr4 will have +14 longbow

Realm rank stacks with item +skill so obviously you want to get your +11 from items on top of anything else. Hence the bracers are very valuable because so few items (except longbows) carry +longbow skill points. If you want to use a high quality crafted longbow for the large critshots you have to get that +longbow from other sources.

Can anyone show me a gear setup that has +11 longbow excluding skill bonuses from the longbow itself that does not involve a bowmasters bracer? There may well be some difficult to get drop from the GC or Legion that will let you do it but barring those I can't think of any off hand.

matt... my item cap at lvl 42 is +9 in any specline at 45 its +10 and 50 +11. I have rr2 atm so my spec is increased from +9 to +10 regardless of the cap.

Mantle of the Bowmaster = 2
Guardians Necklace = 1
Brilliant Gauntlets of Nightfire = 5
Aqueous Coral Studded Arms = 2

Gives you +10

There are probably a few more items out there but its finding them..

Firstly that is only +10 :)

Secondly I'm pretty sure that Brilliant Gauntlets of Nightfire are a rare Grand Chancellor drop. There aren't that many guilds capable of killing him so you are much more likely to see Bowmasters Bracers than you are to see a rare drop from a relatively hard to kill mob.

Put it this way, I've gotten 5 bracers now and all of the scouts in our guild are happy to take them off my hands :)

Oh yeah dont get me wrong .. if someone offered one to me for a reasonable price I would be all too happy to take it off their hands.

The gloves are a hard to get item yeah, but the lvl 50 quest gloves (like docwolfe said) also have +5 LB so no worries there.

I can live with missing 1 point
