To any scouts in pryd alb.

While hunting in keltoi last night this item dropped.

People in the group started asking for it right away, as there were no scouts in the group, i was able to hang on to it. Is this really as rare as the limited amount of people I spoke to said ?

Any ideas....

I ended up giving it to a friend for free since I was deleting my scout, but I'm still sure I should have accepted the shag

dont swop it for cash, cash is easy to come by, swop it for some level50 paladin items from barfog or callieachs or something

Heh, you won't have trouble finding a level 50 buyer for that As previously stated, it's either a massive amount of cash or drops you should go for.

As someone posted earlier, cash is easy to come by. If i was to give this item out to a player outside the guild, would need to be a nice item exchange and not gold. Surely with the new DF dungeon there are better/same scout type items up for grabs. I cant believe people rate this item so high - its only +2 to longbow.


This game is damn anoying, I spent the vast majority of time from L43 - 46 with Mckfly hunting Ellyll for that nice glowing sword drop and nothing... yet here in keltoi without even looking get this apparently rare bracer drop. I should delete and recreate my charaters more often

Life is harsh The thing is + bow items are -rare-; other than a few armour bits and bows themselves, they don't really exist. So every scout wants these, especially those who use crafted bows.

Wow, hi Blaen, I remember grouping with you in Barrows with Feryl some time ago.... a very long time ago...

I seriously need my head looking at for deleting all my chars, if anyone else is ever slightly tempted to delete, take a break for a day dont act on impulse !!

they that rare it makes me wonder aometimes why i got it sitting idley with a season 7 infiltrator that is never used. well never mind. mayhap it will end up in this mercs hands to get him something nice in future <laughs>

That bracer is nice but It's not all that... It's not gonna make you a better scout
Better bracers are available from DF merchants and epics.

It's kinda strange to see an item pretty essential to a class to be so rare. There's a bracer drop in Spindelhall (Middie high-level dungeon), that has Bow 2 as well, but it's far from rare. (I'm wearing two and have 4 as backup in my vault). (Epic armour + 2 bracers caps my Bow skill to 61)

One wonders why Mythic decided to do things like this. Probably to prevent 'cookie cutter' templates, though it mostly means that no scouts have the thing at all.

I thought it had been confirmed that 'overspeccing' in a skill had little to no effect on it. In which case is it not a bit pointless spending 1p on an item which in the longrun isnt really going to help.

I'm sure I read this on the US Archer boards somewhere (http://critshot.com). I'm lvl43 I have 43 (real) longbow and i'm already at 51 LB spec, and thats without bowmaster bracers.

I might be wrong ..

Not entirely. A natural '50' gets you a (slightly) higher cap than a '50' you reach with item bonuses. The difference is minimal, though, a matter of a few damage points, due to rounding errors.

Speccing over 50 adds very little to cap damage - some people says it helps your damage variance so it might be worth it that way.

all I can say is "every little helps" even if its only doing slightly more damage your still doing more damage than otheres who choose not to spec past 50
