Scout Race

Need a little help here really cant decide what race to choose for a scout, innocu is out of the question (way too ugly) its either briton or sarracen i cant decide some help pls if posible some experienced scout opinions Thnx

I regret I did not make a briton scout.
Difference is not too major, but the 10 extra quick a saracen has is of no use (quick is hardcapped at 250, unlike the other stats ).
Saracen is pretty ok though.
No idea how good the SI race is, pretty ok also I think.

explain to me why a highlander is gimp as scout?

highlander could be the best race for scout today.
spellcrafting+buffbot+ras.

if i rolled scout today i would do highlander scout with 50 slash specc.

and scout gimp? hey atleast they can solo, and they are prolly more usefull in grp then u are not that u get any grps anyway tho ;| (no offense quicksilver, u rox tho -_-)

saracen and brit got same qui to start so thats irrelevant

10con is what? ~25hits on a rogue?

10str is like err 10str, melee is a scouts last resort... carry more arrows? (w00t)

20dex is umm 20dex, means you'll hit closer to cap more often and generally hit harder with your primary (only?) weapon, your bow. not to mention evade more, block more and do more dmg with your shield attacks.

before teh caps came off brit or even highlander was a good choice, not any more.

Briton is still a better choice than Saracen. Melee may be a Scout's last resort, but you rarely get the choice to melee or shoot when an assasin jumps you.

I wish my bow would be enough.
I have to melee in about 90% of the fights.
And when purge and IP are down, these melee fights are not very pretty
Even 50 slash highlander scout will get ganked I think Jergiot
Simply because it is never a solo assasin attacking you.
Allways 2 or more.

why go 50 slash as scout? i would say waste of spec point and if u want to do melee dmg make an arms or merc!! and if it shall be into the stealther classes roll infil!!!

and jergoit i can nearly beat all classes 1vs1 even with me crap armor dont think scouts can that. and when i finally take me arse to emain ill nearly allways get a grp!!

and if u compair scouts and friars with there colligians friar got some nice utility!! and how many classes can look that much like a caster?? in the good way ofc!!

i would quite like to see a Highlander scout at 50 has any1 actually made one.

Dunno much about scouts would probbaly quite intresting to make one perhaps a spec like:

Stealth:34
Bow:45
Shield:42
Slash:29

Dunno where starting points would go any suggestions

Do you get auto train as a scout? Would assume that it would be Longbow, might be more viale being a highlander.

Scouts train in Longbow.

At start you should either put in 10 dex/con/qui or 10 dex/con/str. As a Highlander I would suggest the qui version.

Apothole (sp?) is the only 50 Highlander Scout on Excal that I am aware of.

Always go Briton.

sigh, cba to argue with u, another guy that think he knows it all when he prolly never even played a scout. and who cares if u can beat other classes 1on1? u run out alone u get raped alone... and such uber grps u get when u are in emain. THE HORROR. aussie insert a cry pic plz^^
