Scout question

I am a bit clueless atm.

Critshoted a runemaster in thidranki yesterday and hit him for 104 Damage.
How can this be?

My scout is specced 21+5 Longbow, unsing a 9.0 dps 5.5 speed Crafted and enchanted bow. Wearing sc-armor and got all stats to cap on it. Not using a bb.
ofc using crafted xxl-arrows.

If I look from the other side of the hence as a runemaster myself, I get shot for >250, worst hit i got was for 430.

Any ideas, why my damage is that low?

Are you sure that you managed to pull off he crit shot? I played my Ranger for the first time yesterday and most of my attempted crit shots switched to normal shots just as it was about to fire. It's not easy to notice so a lot of the time you kinda wonder what happened.

When you were hit for 200 were you buffed to hell and back? Most people I shoot are all running buffed, not that it should cut a crit shot in half.

A thid ranger from my guild on excal said that after patch 1.69 he couldnt get a single crit shot in...Dunno if this is a common bug after 1.69.

I ll check that too a bit more careful now.

As long as your enemy isn't moving you critshot fine, rangers are used to being able to critshot a moving target in PvE and get a bit of a wakeup call when sniping in PvP

I know I did!

Not only rangers, but scouts and hunters can also crit shot in PVE when the mob is moving. Dunno what was wrong with the ranger of my guildie then

Tried yesterday, and aye, no crits on moving ppl.

Got one on a not moving target for 249, think its ok.

You cant critshot a moving target; or a target in combat standing still.

yep, but you can crit shot strifing peep, stealthers who move slow enough.
simply all who not move fast enough.

moving back? can crit
strifing? what seen you can crit if not have speed (not moving slow enough)

anyway there is alott stuff what make critshot useless.
