Ok so what happened was..

we keep losing our phone connection, one time squirrels chewed through the line and another time ardeners cut the line with hedge trimmers and then the line blew again so B2 calls BT (haha) and they do the whole "well ok we'll send an engineer out but if its a fault inside the house its a £200 call out charge".

so the engineer comes out and taadaa the fault is in our house but twas a fault caused by the previous engineer

*flashback*

engineer comes to fix cut line after attack of the killer gardeners (pt1) and sees some of the cables going in to our kitchen are exposed "ooh i'll just put a cover on this while I'm here"

*flash foward*

engineer (#3) "yeah so he must have used a corroded part, this was his fault so you wont get charged" us "excellaaaaaant".

*weeks later*

anyhoo we're just about to go off and do something when B2 says I'll just check and see how much dosh we have *turns whiter than usual* omfg we're over drawn! yep BT charged us. B2 called to complain (BT) "theres no record of the engineer saying it was not your fault"

B2 makes a complaint and luckily we still have the corrode part the previous engineer installed, anyhoo long story short, i didn't think we'd win, B2 thought we'd have to go to war and anyway a phone call at 22:00 last night...we won! getting the money back hoorah!

so let that be a lesson to you! if someone says "nah this wasn't your fault"... get a bit of paper and ask them to just jot it down for you!!!

well lol we didn't win anything in the material sense of the meaning but £200 is a lot of money and i simply don't know anyone who could just go "meh £200 down the pan /care".

however, winning our fight in saying actually bub it was your fault give us our money back is pretty damn satisfying. and not having to see B2 get stressed and upset over BT denying responsibility is definately something i'm happy about.

Oooh i know, 'm jsut beign a bit pedantic.

Winning this is kinda like showing a marsbar up some kids hiney 'cause he stole it first and then glee over the fact that you won the fistycuffs that ensued.

You own it but you f*cking started it!

Anyway, you didn't, i know, but it's the term that bothers me i guess. You...erm...

You....well f*ck, we need a word for when you succesfully deflect an attempt of someone doing something nasty to you.

Like slor.

I won £100 on the lottery last week. Was stunned, the most I've ever won in my life.
