Just read this...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/6112402.stm

So, Blair wants more kids to study science and to increase standards in the subject.

So how come he still thinks the Vardy Institute is a great school, worth millions of public money ?

Dunno if you read The God Delusion but in there Blair is quoted as being happy with the level of science education in the school and that it's within acceptable limits according to government guidelines. Don't you think the standards have been set pretty low if all the kids are going to answer that the world was created in 6 days ? The school's own head of SCIENCE, says that whenever the Bible is seen to contradict science then science is wrong.

Um - wtf ?

Atheists just happen to be more vocal. Some 70% of British are Christians and 90% of Americans. Supporting religions wins votes.

Blair is cashing in on US politics. The problem here is the British want to follow the Americans into secular utopia, but that's not where they're headed.

When did being Christian have to imply being a Creationist though ? Christian Fundamentalists cannot be good scientists.
