Rant School renunions, what's your take on them?

Actually.. Tere is one person I could quite happily go without seeing already. One person here annoyed the hell out of me this year. They left a week ago. Thank god.
Rest I'd probably agree on meeting up with again over time though.

Don't normally trawl this section of the forum (haven't played Daoc EURO in over 4 years now)
The topic intrigued me so I thought I'd dip my toe in.
I wasn't popular at school. I had 2 or 3 very good friends who stuck with me through thick and thin. The guy who was most reliable is my best mate irl. Godfather of my kids and best man at my wedding. He lives 5 minutes away and we try to see each other once a week for beers n stuff.
He does the whole "keep in touch, facebook thing" and enjoys it. I don't and enjoy not doing it. Honestly - I'd be delighted that your school cohorts are so active as it will keep them entertained.
I would respond to the person who organises everything and thank him for his efforts but ask to be removed from his contacts list as you really don't want to do the whole reunion thing. You don't have to be rude, just say it's not your scene and you're glad that everyone is happy. There we go - no more harrasment and people won't be all pissy over it. Alternatively you can email him, call him an asshole and tell him you hope the next reunion that he organises get's hit by an earthquake or something. Both will work - I guess it's up to you which route you take
I kept in touch with the one person from school who i thought wasn't a waste of sperm. I hope the rest of them are happy and successful but I have zero interest in being in a room with them and hearing about their lives.
