I am skilling up SC on one of my characters ATM, and was wondering if anyone could suggest the most cost effective way to do this (in a skill progression sense)?

What I mean is that I do:

Jewel One: x00 - x25
Jewel Two: x25 - x50
etc.

TIA.

Best way to do it is to skill up 10-15 pts above your skill level and always use a skill tool.

This applies to all crafts really, but for SC the gems are the same price per 100 pts so cost is normally the same.

I never bothered with a skill tool for my Tailor, do they really make that much difference?

Might be cheaper, but it still takes just as long :(
