i've been thinking cos my SB is pure Crit blade that this RA would be real nice for lining up pa's and getting into to position quicker against chars, can anyone tell me there experiences with it ...

i'm guessing other stealthers won't see you stealthed very quick as you would approach them quicker, although the recast timer is a little steep :(

any opinions welcome

There's a reason as to why 99.99% of all SB's do not have it. In short - the amount of 'bang' for your 'buck' is ridiculously low.

Sure ST - go bang your head in the brick wall over there, I only charge for the damage done to the wall.

If you wanna run faster, take some levels of Mastery of Stealth instead.

Could think of many other RAs to take first though.

im full sword/cs ... so my pa is essential and need to get in position on them so stealthers dont spot me first ( ie if they fighting another stealther and i wanna run up and leach :p, or if i spot a ranger from distance etc)

and does anyone with MoS actually notice a difference in running speed?

mos works. but badly.

and there are a lot of more useful abilities for SB.

Well as original poster said that would be a typical use for it.
Infact i dont see much other use of the RA.

It has no good use when it comes to transportation it is only 30sec long.

When it comes to getaway there is only a pair of situations it could possibly do any good, and that is at the point where the sb have ran away, and timer allows for stealth.
And pursuers are looking for the SB.

But for that use there is to many IF´s in that.

and to get through MG´s and that is to approach within 2000radius from the MG, hit shadowrun and go through the pref lrdy open gate in hightened speed, stealthed.

IT gives no edge at all as viper, and possibly vanish does.

Vanish would instantly allow another PA + CD chain. (said to be bugged atm)
Viper doubles the venom DOT´s

Shadowrun... = a joke in comparison, a fart in space even.

i thought say if you saw a caster coming quickly ... that it would be nice to hit it and get into position etc so you can actually hit the pa, i dont have the luxury of fucking it up and meleeing them down easy anyway ( and i hope that gets nerfed tbh) i wanna be an assassin old sk00l etc. i think i'll try it out after i got purge, few levels of dodger, MoP etc

there's your problem right there.

take another look at your equipment and/or spec before trying to fix it with a (useless) RA. :)

my equipment will be fine etc ( all caped MP etc).. but i'll be using a 2hand sword ( fully buffed with haste pots) low envenom for disease and no LA.

I played for a long time, trying to max out my chars be l337 etc .. but i always wanted my girl ninj0r, hence the reason i came to midgord and got my mate to powerlevel my sb :D. and i wanna use a 'gimped' spec and have fun. i'll mainly be hunting in df etc ... not hanging around milegates waiting to get raped.

As i save alot of points from not having to put Duelist relfexes etc in, i need ra's to complement this spec, cos i dont fancy a shadowzerk cos they boring for me and i could stayed alb and made an inf thats better.

dont tell him anything guys, i swear by the time he reads your post hes already dismissed it and is thinking about attcking infs with a 2h sword :D

Even for a crit.blade I would not invest in Shadowrun - I wouldn't invest in it for any reason. Timer is to short, and from what I've heard from people actually testing it - the movement rate is to low to be of much value, and recast to long. Then I'd rather put points into MoS still, because it is passive. But most likely I'd go heavy MoP and Aug. Str.


And if you want to play in DF, then people will tend to be more stationary, and thus you would not really need the faster movement.

aye some good points, MoP probably the most important... maybe if they lower the recast timer it might be viable in future. thanks, help made my mind up now :D

in the lower right corner is a thing aclled 'admin options'.. select close from the drop-down menu.
