yes i know the la behind style useually do more, but i mostly only use the ragnarok with a 2h heat sword, and its some good damage, and it doesnt require stealth, cause i know if i have cs i might as well use BS2 or just PA.

and you can really kill some people fast, especially when they decide to run, and you can keep making ragnarok, and it slows to :D

A sb without Creeping death is like a woman without breasts.

SZ > easymode
CS > hardmode

I'm sorry to say that I don't agree with this mate.

If you've read some of these posts you will realize, that critblades are about just as deadly as SZ are if they can play it well and have the connection/comp. specs needed for lining up the perfect PA chain.

I've been nearly all possible specs now with my old SB. Pre-ToA I was pure critblade, the spec which I've made the most RPs so far :)

Silly words my friend, there is no "best", its all a matter of taste. I would say that a sb without the 47-debuff is like a clown without the red nose but thats just me.

Obviously it depends on what you want, but I've played as a Critblade since level 5... I'm 5L2 now, and I'm still a Critblade. I probably won't change after NF comes, simply cos I enjoy it.
Most SBs, from my own experiences, tend to go for the "typical" 5-spec SB, but to be honest, that only really gets good at higher Realm Ranks.
Some SBs say "Omg, you don't have level 47 debuff! Death to the traitor" (or the likes...), but I get by with 23 envenom ;) 2h Sword and any of the speed debuffs are all that you need when you're a Critblade. If you tend to go for moving enemies that is...Say you're prowling around DF, when Hibs own it - you may want to just go for sitting targets, to make the fights easier (although I would call it "fairer"... :drink: ). If that's the case, then a mid-level Strength/Constitution debuff goes down rather nicely (Get Band of Stars to level 10, and you're onto a winner...transform your target into a Spraggon, cut all their stats by 48, then line up your PA...assuming they don't run away in shock...).
If you're gonna be a Critblade, then 50 CS, with the biggest bonus you can manage works a treat. My SB is a 5L2 Kobold, using a 100% Cold Legendary 2h Sword, and I'm capping my PA damage at 1064 (that's without a crit or a proc...I one-hit a blue bard earlier with a rather hefty crit...1064+457...).
As a Critblade, go for high stealth at lower realm ranks ! If you wanna remain un-noticed until the crucial (or even critical ;)) moment, then 50 stealth is a must (I ended up with 37 stealth at level 50 - some say that's way too high, but as a Critblade it's a good idea to have that when you're a lower realm rank)
High spec in either Sword or Axe helps a lot too - up to you as to which of the two you use. On my SB, I've gone for 44 Sword (although I only use CS styles, as their general damage output is rather hefty). 44 Sword and 50 CS packs a punch, I tell you... (I got a post in the RvR Discussion a while back, called "Gasoline (ouch)"...if you wanna read up on the sort of damage I did to a 5L8 Infiltrator, then it's there...)

NB: A Critblade sucks ass against Lurikeen Nightshades - their high Dexterity/Quickness stats take the piss. Although they get 2.2x their level for spec points (and Infiltrators get 0.3 extra on top of that!) I prefer fighting Infiltrators (there...I said it...), as I at least know I can hit them with a 2h swing....

Ideal Critblade spec for a lower Realm Rank:
50 Critical Strike
44 Sword (or Axe)
37 Stealth
23 Envenom

1 LA 4tehwin!

Just my opinion (all be it, a biased one...)

Only skill you can live without as a SB is CS. The rest is vital. 5-spec is a bit weak at low rrs but playing without CS is boring.
