Sell all your stolen thread ideas as everyone knows its people who mass pimp stuff that make money, not those that create it.

I don't know about laser surgery, but the 'cut things and lots of blood etc' type of surgery is fecking painful, and turns your eye a deep red for several weeks.

Oh, its fecking painful too.

And I still have to wear glasses, just not ones with whacking great prisms in any more.

You had radial kerratotemy?!?! My aunt had that and now still has to wear glasses for computer etc (cured her myopia (sp) but not her astigmatism).. That's the one they had serious problems with in the soviet union a good decade or two ago wasn't it? People going blind within a few months or something :eek6:

I'm -0.70 in one eye and -1.75 in the other but I have a shitty astigmatism that blurs everything, gives me headache's if I leave my vision uncorrected and means I can only have shit monthly disposable contact lenses rather than every day disposables or those "you can sleep in em ones"... I only really wear them when I go out and for sports really, as I find them uncomfortable if I wear them for more than ~4 hours and they start to slip (toric lenses are shit) and they start to obscure my vision sometimes (my eyes are fairly dry).

I'd like "lazer" treatment but I'd rather give it another few years to have a bit more of an idea of the long term side effects.. that's just me, I'm a wuss when it comes to this sorta thing, the pain involved is irrelevent, I'd just be shit scared of losing my vision or something also as a st00dent I can't afford it :(

It's deffinately the convenience aspect as alot have said rather than the vanity side that attracts me to it though.

1966, porque?

theres always the slim chance that they fuck up and blind you. (thats why they do one eye at a time, so if they bork you, you will still have sight on one eye)

If I needed glasses, I'd wait a bit till the tech got a li'll less "random-mishap-roll-fumble-table A-3" with asking some doctor to fix my eyes with a giant laserbeam.
