Savages ... best in game melee dmg dealer / tank class?

I'd hate to take that away from you aswell bro, but sorry ;)

hit an infil for around 1500 a few weeks ago on a Capped PA with capped Crit :D

Indeed, _NO MELEE CLASS_ beats a frenzied zerker in damage done/sec.

A savage _may_ outdamage a zerker as a whole due to being able to double/triple/quad-hit etc, but per hit the zerker wins.

you full crit-specced or sumt? or was the guy just a noob with 0%slash resist(in that case gimme his name :> )

Lies, lies, lies,....or maybe pure melee-wise not. In general, supp sm's outdamage anyone any time of the day. :)

yeah, against several ppl at once, yes supp sm's rawk.

but not against one person in one spell now that SC is dawning...

Hmmmm.....

Only 44CS here and my highest single hit is 1562 (including crit, offhand, proc, poison, bleed) on a sat skald in epic :D (but this was months ago before spellcrafting, etc)

Highest mainhand was 1202 on a poor little (RR4) nightshade.

It was the day spellcrafting came, since i already had my full MP armour that day i got it imbuned.

As i was walking up AMG steps, saw an infil infront of me stealthed, he saw me, the second he used /stick, i hit my PA macro and he just died.

It was Aybabtu (sp?) he died in the 1st strike (not including bleed/poisons)

No idea about his resists, but he's 50 inf and is usually buffed (he wasn't at the time, i was :flame: )

Yeah, us poor infis have to live with 1-handers and have to total the lot up to get decent damage :(

That 1202 mainhand was at RR7. My max at RR8 would still only be a paultry 1224. Poor me :(

Berserkers are still the best damage dealing tank class imo. Savages have better defence though, and the reactive chains are very damaging. A berserkers damage is more reliable than a savages although savages could do more with some luck.
Btw, berserkers are a lot better at the lower levels, savages start of fairly weak :(
My savage is just getting to the stage where triple hits occur atleast once a fight. Getting fun now :)

Havent meet zerk who could oneshot hero or armsman, but savagers can do that. 4x hit and good crits for those == one pissed tank.
