Savage Spec

Hello
I was hoping some experienced savages could help me with my final spec (currently lvl 30).

I was thinking something like this:

44 h2h
49 savagery
4 parry

or

50 h2h
42 savagery
9 parry

Or maybe something else? ;)

If your going h2h you should probably go 50 h2h. Mostly because of higher weaponskill (which with h2h you'll need as it's lower than the other weapon lines).

I read the savage faq at the vn.boards and according to him i wont be able to double/triple hit with less then 20 h2h.
If so would this be a viable spec?:

42 savagery
44 hammer/axe
25(or something) h2h

You will double-hit (once in a while) from 1HTH.

Triples start somewhere around 25 modified HTH and quads at 40+ modified HTH.

In order to be somewhat efficient with a split spec with weapon and hth you need to reach an average of about 1.6 attacks/round, which you wont with that low hth. (2H will do more damage over time if you got less hth and dualwield)

I think the general opinion is 35hth no less for dualwielding to get better damage over time that 2H. (gathered from trolling the savage forum a lot)

Some (seemingly) common split-specs:
44 weapon/35 HTH
39 weapon/39 HTH
39 weapon/35 HTH
rest in savagery and left-over points to parry.

My little Sav just hit 24, and he's starting to do some nice dmg now. Back style (think it's Clan's Call) was taking agg from Warrior with 2H axe...nice.
Well, in one way, anyway :D.
I get the feeling Savs are one of those classes that are weak lower down, then start to come on-line well at higher lvls.

I would never go higher than 42 savagery,
all you will get is 4% better melee resist shouts( capped with the lvl37 evade shout fully buffed, the parry shout you wont use much, and haste is capped as a kobold with the lvl 39 haste using the slowest slash weapons).
You will allso get 4% better dps shout, but i prefer the higher weaponskill and higher dmg i get from 50 h2h ;)

I am 39 savage, 50h2h, 18 parry.
I like it, but if you dont want 2 full bars with styles, and is not good at using positionals/reactionaries, or got a crappy connection/computer, dont go h2h ;)

Never tried split spec or 2h, but i think i would miss the stun styles and the atk speed if i respecced :D

44 hammer, 34 h2h, 35 savagery, 4 parry

This is a good spec if you are not a fan of reactionary styles. Just spam provoke and watch the enemies go down.

I went 48/45/something h2h/sav/parry

45 sav: best evade buff

And you're only 2 spec-lvls below cap for weapon so shouldn't have a noticeable effect on weaponskill or d/t/q-chance.

Question:

If you are equiped with 2h hammer and using hammer styles, do u get a chance to double/tripple hit with the hammer if u have specced high in H2H (like a passive ability)?

Don't bother making a savage they will get nerfed eventually since they will fill the zerker roll and the other realms will whine, my best advice is to change realm to hibneria roll a chanter, form a guild called vengence, ah already taken nm when you ding 50 take a keep and park your uber chanter at lord and farm rp all day long then post screens on bw and reveal your uber skills to the rest of the daoc community :).
