flat out misses are very rare but happend more than once that a complete quadhit was parried/blocked/evaded :(

And the Merc ability (Dirty Tricks = target fumbles lots) does little to aid him in his main job (killing things - primarily casters and support, who rarely draw weapons). It's a defensive ability, great in duels/1v1, great if you're on guard duty (how many mercs do this?).

doesnt really matter if he is on offense, he can easily trigger it and hit someone a time or 2 thats on his support

but a merc using dirty tricks whould negate a berserker using zerk, dirty tricks is not useless but very situational. While flurry is completly useless with only 1 merc/bm it becomes alot more powerful having 3-4. Just because things arent used in RvR doesnt mean they dont have a use.

the only real reason for not going to 49 savagery at the moment is that the top haste buff is 'too good' for a h2h savage as when buffed he'll cap out weaponspeed and drop damage.

but in 1.64, there are slower h2h weapons available (4.0spd), and then a 44h2h, 49sav spec is very viable indeed.
