just thinking ....buffbots how satisfying is it to kill a buffbotted n00b with your unbuffbotted character? on a scale of 1 to 10

1 being i just dinged 11 with my infi alt

10 being free cake for all in 1.64c


what do you think?

not quite as satisfying as finding alb had a corpse summoner in one of our keeps, and getting a groundassist target on it, then dropping catapult stones on him...

last night, my healer made 2k rp's, might not seem like much to most, but these were mainly from causing damage myself... which is a rarity as a healer :)

it seemed I was getting RP's from every alb that died last night, so I'm guessing I hit everyone inside the keep at one stage or other....

btw, two catapults on same target = win :)

I think they need to put a cap on people listing chars in their sig like lvl30 or summat so we dont get spammed to death when free 20/30s for lvl50s comes.

would that have happened to be at Aravkr last nite?

I wondered where thos cata stones were landing cos they were doing pish all damage to most of us :)

A most enetertainign evening..gained about 20k of rps \o/ guild gained about 170k in about 5 hours so it was a good evening all round :)

PS: I get quite a few saucy /sends obviously bound for Elise, when I'm on as Eliseth. :p

I had my bot in tow, hoping to earn myself serenity, and masery of the arcane (or whatever its called)

lotsa rps for rezzing dead people

my bot got more rps than I did :/

still, was good fun... no necro's to save your asses this time


and to original post
I'd say 9... killing someone you know from BW, or irl would take the top spot.

of course, if you get a whine thread, then its a guaranteed 10 ;)

yeah, most of the time we has a target on either the lord room ground level, or the corspe summoner, s'why he stopped rezzing, then eventually died (bullets dont have a large AE, but do more damage in a focused area) ran out of the better ammo pretty fast, and was using grapeshot towards the end which was only doing about 100 damage per target, however linked we were still getting good kills from it.

Certainly alb held the keep for a few hours, but I think 5 hours is a little unlikely :). The first attempt failed due to people charging up to the Lords room, and not paying attention to PBAOE'ers, the we moved to Bled to kick the hibs out, when we came back to Ava again, we concentrated on removing the summoner whilst the doors were sieged, then we concentrated on finding where those pesky PBAOE'ers were :) all in all though, t'was a fine battle...

and why was it fun for me? I'm a healer, and I got deathspam!

OK it must have been a 2nd set of middies we beat of the 2nd time then...we had the lord room pbae...then we had one where they didn't seem to have any rams [they died]

Then all went quite for a hr or so and it was getting l8 so i logged out, guess u came back after then.

the 5hrs was split between HW and Arv, [whos the guild witht he snazy new Purple cloak? who caught us once preparing to leave the mmg (y we were all facing the other way :( ) and once when we were suciding \o/ ]

What was the most satisfying was when most of your force left during the 2nd assault, presumably to defend bledmeer. However you left 3 trebs and about 2-3 fgs milling around looking confused. Dunno if most were afk and /stick but they were like lambs to the slaughter :(
Was a nice defence though, first time with 11 of us holding off ~35 mids and the last defence holding off 140 odd mids at lord for quite a while with only 35-40 albs. Thought we were actually winning the fight was lasting so long but you must have been rezzing real fast. In fact it must have been that uber RA Perfect Recovery that won it for you....nerf ;)

Jon - I think I must have been on the second and third raid then :) I had catapults both times, the first time we retreated, was because apparently there were 200 hibs in Odins... which was rubbish, 40 at most. the catapult team stayed behind to cover teh retreat (ok, ok, we couldn't do with the run to bled, and wanted a nice easy death to take us back to our vaults) can't say I saw 130 of us on the second attack though, I counted 4, maybe 5 fg's. however we did have people at the relic keep too though, its possible guard spam was giving these numbers, together with xp'ers in the area.

excuses aside, you guys held that keep well, took a bit of organisation and co-ordination to clear you out. (my favorite part was seeing Laird got "got" by one of my guild, we've been after him for a while) and our catapult team now has "plans"

Aye was nice to see so many siege weapons being used, nicely organised.
When the keep fell on the 3rd assault there were ~140 mids
2nd assault there were ~55
