Satellite is crap when it comes to gaming because of the high latency, meaning high pings.

I'd laugh meself silly if one o their sat's went bonkers an drilled a 1 mil aperature in yer skull or -even better- fried the chappy-next-door's cat wiv a high density microwave beam thingy
I don't think that pay for yer game bit'll catch on m8. just can't see myself forking out up to a tenner jus to play.
also it seems to me that you'll end up getting screwed twice: pay once fer da highspeed an once fer da normal stuff.

I've tested sat connections, nice speed (leeching ), but Emb is right, high latency makes online games seem like a bad slow-motion movie.

Activator also mention that their service "won't improve pings". What they neglect to mention is that they'll actually degrade them

From what I've heard, Satellite connections are the bollox for downloading coz you get insane bandwith, but the upload is from a 56K modem as per normal.
Or am I wrong??

well, my news-server's just around the corner from me, so I guess microwaves wouldn't really make me get a hardon.
