Gratz to all involved, albs hibs and mids alike, we would have grabbed the other two while we were there but the hibs arrived to bash our heads in just in the nick of time before merlin's staff arrived home in snowdonia. Truth be told we were poorly organised once the first relic left, and have something to work on for next time thx all.

Well done, Albion, and congratulations to Wildfire for the extremly well-organized raid. Oh, and good job Kcinimodus for the superb driving, didn't take excessive time to get to the relic keep and we didn't run into any hib army on the way. It must also be said that it was this minstrel's proudest moment in this game when he was asked to pull the uber guards at Dagda, and I managed to not pull the entire keep on us (and only died once )! Thanks to all who PM:ed me with wishes of good luck.

Before the raid, it was a bit worrying to see the Hibs taking keeps in our own frontier and at one point pulling the guards at Excalibur (we were halfway through Breifine at the time). I was certain that some despicable spy had tipped off the Hibs, but the meager defensive force at Dagda tells me this was not so.

Anyway, congratulations Albion! We do indeed stand strong when we stand together.

Was it complacency on the Hibs' part? THe legion raid aside, there were numerous hibs in Albion defending and taking keeps well after it was public knowledge that the Albs were relic raiding.

When we eventually got confirmation that you guys were attacking Dagda, a large group og high level Hibs decided they needed to argue first over whether to share out loot from a Legion raid or go to Dagda to help defend.

Actually we were going for your relic too. There was however also a Legion raid going down, and people could just not be bothered to help take the relic. Even with 4 Alb keeps under our control, spies at Excalibur and 4fg already in Albion, we could not get more people to help. So it was all going really slow, trying to convince people to come, when the news of Dagda under attack arrived and the whole plan fell apart; we would never be in time to take your relic first. We even heard Albs were defending Excalibur too. Getting people to actually go and defend Dagda was still hard enough. Amazing how some people in the relic raid /cg just didn't read it and mention HALF AN HOUR after we said we had to defend Dagda (the first door was already down then), that our relic might be under attack... see my suggestions for /cg behavior: if you don't read it, leave.

That is why if anyone should be flamed here, it's the Hibs for lack of willingness to fight for the realm. But let's learn from our mistakes instead, flaming never solves anything :/

You were well spotted, but seems as if Legions spear is way more important then Merlins staff. Made me feel sick to be a hib tonight, I died 4 times before people started to trickle into Cain. It seemed as if they were averse to typing /as RELIC RAID!!

Fight for the realm? This is just a game and not a greater calling for your life, it was about 2 am in Finland when we managed to kill Legion and I more than fill my DAoC capacity for one day with one great event / day, even though I still came to defend

Well, I missed the whole thing, as lag and LD caused me to log (looking back, maybe this lag was caused by 600 albs in the TK awaiting an all clear? I don't know).

But it seems it was well done, so grats to you Albs.

Yeah grats Hibs, I'd love know what Legion drops thats better than 3 relics because I really must have that. (/who Cain [5 matches].... /who Darkness [201 matches] and thats AFTER several shouts on /as)

I just hope the Legion raiders are willing to dig into their diamond seal collection to chip in for door repairs.

Sometimes it really sucks to be a Hib......... however thank God it ALWAYS sucks to be an Alb :uhoh:

We killed Legion ages before there was shouts about *any* relic raids on AS, suicided asap when it was confirmed and left mBeo after deciding in /cg what to do (which took less than ~2 mins). The loot was shared after we got Dagda safe. So please cut your crappy ass whining and get your facts straight [No I didnt organize the raid or anything, Lofff did and he has gotten enough BS from hibs already]

Actually i have to side with popov there. 1 lvl 50 firby dead at dagda side gate as 1st door was falling, then popov got inside the relic keep just as we started the 2nd door, and it took about 45 minutes to get that one down. Hibs didnt start to leave cain until 3rd gate was half down, but even then it was small amounts that we killed way outside the relic keep.

Not much that could have been done about that then : /

It was a combination of factors really. First of all ofcourse the Albs had this thing well planned out. Secondly, both Hibernian alliances had other things organised. CF was doing Legion, CBH was doing an Albion raid. Our own frontier was left (nearly) unguarded.

And ofcourse it's just a game ( ; But the aim of this game -to defeat your enemies basically- can only be achieved by people working together. It's great fun when those people manage to cooperate, it can be frustrating when they don't. I'm sure the Albs had a great time seeing so many peeps work together, personally I was a bit disappointed in the Hibs, and I know I'm not the only one. So to avoid further disappointments -> learn from last night -> more fun for everyone

Eleasias, I posted a message to my guild that a relic raid was on before the Albs hit the first door. Wuren posted in /as as his char was logged inside. Legion was not dead yet, because some of my guildies were on the raid. The whole thing was a HUGE complacent joke, I don't know what people thought, but Hib reacted like 1 group of albs was playing around at the base of dagda.

I died 3 times scouting, before there were even enough people to group at Cain, and still died a 4th time in the group before the majority of Legion raid arrived. Bound at Ardee, you can see that's one heck of a long time.

a pity i only made it to the courtyard stairs with our horn of valhalla. mids had successfully pulled all hibs, but there were still 4 guards and about 7 archers left to whack me on the way out ;(.

by the way, did that infiltrator get a heartattack when he got Norse add on attacking a ranger inside the keep during the siege?^^
