well I can mainly speak about the solo getting jumped by fg .. that happen offen, some of the time because I'm semi afk running in emain(not looking if there is inc etc) but some happens more "strangely" like when u see inc stealth, and when the grp is out of LOS speed up and run again, some might think that is what I'm gonna do(ofc I'm a mincer) and then they come back, might be radar, might be them useing there brain(logic that a mincer will speed up again)

the more strange ones is when u are running in shade mode and a fg suddenly pass the road(amg-atk) towards me... well again might be radar... might be luck/the fg might wanna rebuff on the other side etc...


but fg vs fg fights we offen get jumped tho, but then again... etc

it is hard to be 100% sure....even tho the vid from Merlin was pretty easy to see he cheated

1 type of radar stopped working, afaik, the radar you pay for is still working.

Bee, if goa get several reports about a person using radar they will have a GM follow them, watch their tells etc and see what they do.
ie. if a person blatently saw someone, they couldn't use the "a stealther told me" excuse as the goa person could see their PMs too.
GoA do care, as much as people are loath to admit it. If you report someone, and get other people who saw them to do the same, then GoA will check it out.
In addition, goa have a far better (imo) response to radar than mythic, while mythic will give you a weeks ban or so, goa will just terminate accounts. Thats why it appears that it takes longer, as goa want to be more sure that they arn't terminating some innocent persons account forever.

Imo mythic should simply link to the page´s u can download the radars, or host em themself. so all can use em.

I though that radar was supposed to be fixed with 1.68 or smt.
But from other threads i understand that only some radar´s stopped working.
While the more popular kinds still works as they work in some other way, and dont sniff on network traffic but sniff memory instead.

But if recall correctly i remember a 1.70(?) patch stating something about memory encryption.
Hopefully that will mean the end of it.
Doubt it though.

yep ppl accused us (and many other rvr guilds) for radar alot of times and it's just a pathetic attempt to make the loss based on cheat.

In the entire history of this server virtually every set group that has been doing well has been accused (note, accused) of using radar at some point.
This leads me to believe that Nol is correct with his 90% of people accusing others of using radar are just sore losers statistic. Though if I was to hazard a guess I would say the percentage is probably higher.

I dont understand what you talk about at all? I said that it's nice to blame a "radar" for all the losses that are based on other factors rather then look at the real problem and you start to cry about something totaly differant.

Seen the same, but also from Solo/duo's. A couple of nights ago a Minstrel who's name I'll keep to myself (reported though) came rushing past me. As soon as I destealthed he turned at me, I stealthed and he came back to arround where I popped. He then left for mtk in the same direction, but as I was standing behind a tree totaly out of view I destealthed again, and belive it or not 5sec later he was standing on my spot behind the tree. I had meanwhile moved to a second tree, but this time I think he did not fall for it as he obvioulsy had to know that I was taking SS of him.

Another is also from last few days, were a duo of Scout/inf that for some strange reason inside Alb mg desided to leave the figth (that was closing to an end) down on road, go strait for left zonewall. As I have SH I could follow, and belive it or not high up close to the zonewall stood a solo afk Mid SM. Could be just a strike of luck, but really I do not think so.

The same goes for shademode it is so obvious when you popp out of stealth and have ppl changing directions, coming directly at you, when you know there is no chance in hell that they can see you.

You dont need a 400mhz to feel inc lag. You can have a 3ghz n still feel it. No doubt.

got jumped in HW whilst running with a minstrel in shadeform - he got nuked to bits out of name range before they got me ...

now maybe it was just coincidence they clicked on me and got the minstrel (as you can still click on shadeform folks even when they're out of visible range)...

It does make you wonder sometimes. Well hopefully whatever they're cooking up in 1.70 will catch a few of them.

Though it feels like the changes in 1.68 didn't help us in europe as all the radar programmers would have changed their programs to get around it before it even got here
