Sacarec thrust Scout template

So... here´s the deal.
I´ve rolled this muppet like a year ago (despite the fact that Scouts have been seriously gimped at that time) but stopped levelling it at some point (at lvl 40ish) because of boredom. However, I`m playing it again and it´s close to 50 atm.

The way to go for a Scout when I rolled him was Saracen, thrust and the common final template was 40 lb, 42 shield, 35 thrust/stealth. (I`d give my hat for a race respec... nevermind).

What are the current templates for thrust scouts? Any experiences?

Why?

Saracens have the highest dex, therefore bow damage is going to be optimal, as it is purely dex-based. Your evade chace is also higher, as is your chance to block, and get slams in.

It just means you need to put more +con and +str caps into your TOA template, instead of dex, it makes no difference really, even if your scout went slash.

Botbuffed you reach enuf dex whit all races to have dismishing returns in bow WS anyway, to be honest i think the best race nowadays, whit buffbots everywhere, is highlander.

There is no diminishing returns on WS with increased stats.

Pfft saracens rock as scouts, only wish I hadn't put +15 into quickness when I made mine :/ (Leaves me with a nice 266 in quickness buffed - thanks for that 250 hardcap mythic!). Anyway, you might want to consider changing to slash, and leaving it at 29, or going to 35 as you planned to do with thrust. I changed from thrust to slash a while ago and wouldn't look back.

Nine times out of ten it will be SBs and Hunters you come up against out there (unless you go to amg odins which is infested with RR2/3 NSs) so slash will give you a little bonus in damage output, and if you've got a buffbot, then your str should be high enough to use slash effectively even with a saracen.
