Guys, u act like a bunch of kids in "kindergarden" bullying some poor fella. Peeps, Saaug's bad rep was generated many many months ago, give it a rest and try give this guy a chance. If its is the "old saaug" or not....so what?!?....chill and let those old wounds heal. Yes the char is cursed but by making such a thread aint making it easier for him.

GUYS GROW UP!!! (sorry to see some peeps who I had the impression were mature and grown up ppl....making a fool of them selves here....GG)

The real Saaug really deserved his reputation. IF he really sold his account the new guy doesn't but there is basically no way of knowing. Just another thing Saaug left behind.

I am not saying I liked the original Saaug....but _IF_ its a new guy playing the acc, he shouldnt be treated like this. Atleast give him "benefit of the doubt".

Cezar i guess you know by now that saaug got a reputation of beening a bastard tru or not, and that it will take months for ppl to understand that it aint the same old one.

I guess since saaug ones pushed the limits for what many could accept the tollerance for any misstakes or errors are extremely narrow and hey gang this is just a game give the bloke a chance to prove himself.

And for beeing a greedy one well then i can tell ya this Cezar have made a substantional donation to the guild fund a few weeks ago.

And where did I say that he was to be subject of a "witch-hunt"? I just said that people should stay alert. I'm as much of the "benefit of a doubt" opinion as you, but the rep that follows with Saaug's account is a FACT, and no matter how much you try to ignore it some will not. And that telling people he sold his account fits something Saaug would do doesn't make it easier if someone really bought the account. I WILL however stand by my opinion that the REAL Saaug deserved his reputation. If he really sold his account it's just sad that he didn't tell him of his ingame reputation, because I don't think he would have bought it in that case.

Let's assume it really is a new guy who BOUGHT old Saaug's account...

You care to whine about old Saaug's history (yes, he was annoying to say the least )- but no-one seems to care breaking the CoC about buying and selling accounts...

Like it's ok to break some parts of the CoC or what

I have had first hand dealings with the old sauug in malmo and in rvr, trying to sell me armour for about 5 times the price.....but we should not condemn him if

1) it is a new player whos had the bad oppourtunity of buying sauug or
2) The old sauug trying to change and start a fresh

Goodluck to you, whoever u are and if u are the real i suggest coming out and saying u are sauug and to show u are trying to change

Nah this is definitely ot the 'old' Saaug - he would have found it impossible to keep such a low profile for so long. As for the 'old' Saaug, I found him to be quite amusing and could easily forgive his occasional odd behaviour - what a character! Damn good in RvR too!!

New Saaug is a character. He shoots from the hip, is to the point, and isnt afraid to speak his mind. And I like him.

I find him just as disturbing as old saaug, he's managed to talk/act disobediant enough for me to ban him once from my tg raids which is imo not a easy task(gave him a chance again with removed mods after I talked to some BaF folk and himself)

I dont think im judging him by the char he bought, but my experincens with him on TG raids and groups in emain. In his defense though he doesnt seem to have any illwill against anyone, he just pushes the right buttons to piss people off I guess. It's also not based on any personal grudge against BaF as he claimed once when I banned him, I warned him on his first TG raid(when he was infact guildless).


To wrap up, give the guy a chance, im sure there's a nice guy under those layers of trollskin, the question is just how hard your willing to look for him.

about 2 weeks back I got the pleasure to actually speak to the " new " Saaug. He told me that the old Saaug DID sell his account. They had been at a LAN party and the old Saaug was tired of DAoC. He were hungry and then sold his account to the new guy for 50 ( or 100 ) danish kroners to get money for food ?! The new guy had only been playing 2 weeks before on US.

Seriously I shit you not, those were the words he said..

I told the new guy that he had a lot of repairing to do and rebuilding Saaug's reputation wouldnt be easy. He told me that he had heard all about it before etc and tbh he was pretty fed up with people. Fair enough.

If its the old Saaug or a new Saaug I dont know.. I'd say give him a chance. But as for me, I will most certainly approach him with lots of skeptism and caution given my earlier experiences with him.
