They run all the servers, euro and US.
The game is made in France by Nevrax.
The GMs and Support are based in Germany.

wow, my CD arrived in 2 days from France! you cant even send to another place in England that fast these days.

nice of em to actually send a CD for free though.

Usually they make you download an out of date client from some overloaded server and then make you patch it for 3 days.

Or they charge you $40 for the CD like SWG

Not sure about Ryzom myself, it looks...um...weird. It will be interesting to see exactly what it is. The website doesnt reveal much.

Anyone playing this now that it's gone into open beta?

Pretty buggy, no content and /tell doesn't work. Looks promising though

I've dabbled.. it's very unfinished at the moment, but looks pretty if nothing else. Will take another look in a couple of weeks I think.

Big 5 page, glossy inside front cover advertisement in Computer Gaming magazine (L2, CoH, EQ2, DAoC, Ragnarok, Horizons all advertise in it - only 1 to 3 pages though). Heavy stuff for a true beta (as opposed to a WoW beta).
