1Day late but it has been the best night of RvR for us in a LONG time

lots of groups out. Everyone respecting the non add situation. most anyway, those who added were targetted and stream rolled ;)

thought was very good night anyway.

thanks all who was out and made it a fun night.

Only had one nuker in the group and that was me Oo don't remember any nuking of other groups - but oh well sometimes it happens, wouldn't have been intentional.

Was a good night for what I played of it, although I had to log early.

What non add situation?
Has Mythic changed the rules?
Please post all patch notes that Mythic have released regarding this non add situation so that the whole server can abide by it.

the whole server doesn't have to abide by it, and what's wrong with him saying its nice that some groups do?

You worded it very diferently....

There's nothing wrong with the pugs and casuals playing as the game was intended, as they cant compete with the opt'd groups.
Any new player reading this thread might be inclined to believe that adding was against the rules, I wanted to point out that it is not.

Who said mythic changed the rules ?!

No one ? keke

I said it was nice to see alot of people not adding last night, a few did from all realms and I didn't see you adding. Where you out last night ?

Anyway my mum always told me if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. :touch:

Yep I was at at Surs and indeed I added.

My Dad always said "if you haven't got anything nice to say, then you must be great fun to hang out with" :)

Actually NOT adding is against the spirit of the game, i read an official reply from RN after a m8 posed the question of "is adding wrong or right?"

So technically if you see an enemy and do NOT actively engage them you can be peanlised. If you repeatedly do not attack an enemy (for what ever reason) you can be held accountable for playing "against the spirit of the game".

Ofc for GoA to enforce this would cause a dramatic reduction in their playerbase and thus their income.

So Baron is in fact correct.

I personally will carry on playing the way i feel i should/want to play.

.

that might be the case, but its sounds sorta stupid... i mean it comes down to the player to do whatever he wants. If he wants to checkout the armor on a lurikeen then /dance with him/her instead wildcall-wildcall spamage its his decision and should be respected.

It was in the same patch which said you must use words like "cowardly knave", "thine" and "thou" in any conversations with RPers so you don't ruin their game either :p

People will always play how they want. Some people like to add on fights, some people like to zerg, some people like to solo. That's the great thing about this game, you can do pretty much what you like.

BUT, there may be repercussions of course - or as in the matrix, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Action:
For example, a Full Group of Hibs see me running to Bled Docks, I was a bit slow and get mezzed. Great. I blow purge+vanish, just to stop the FG steamrolling me. One of them uses the feedback spell and pops me out of vanish. /clap /sit.

Reaction:
/as FG hibs just steamrolled me at bled docks, they running to brynja, please kill.
I look at Chat window, FG Hibs steamrolled by Mids :>

Play the game how you want to play it. I'm glad FG's are getting good fights in Agramon, it keeps them away from the smaller groups that roam :>

There is not much you can do if it's 3:1 ratio of people beating on you, except play a bit later on when there are less people on, or roll a FOTM OP Caster :>

Luckily I get to play in primetime, and late nights, and if I get fed up in primetime, I'll go pve some, or roll a new thid toon (small warrior incoming, illuxena :))

And I have no qualms about being steamrollered by large groups of low RR, they have to get their RP somehow. It's the roaming, fast moving 3 man teams of high RR (stealthers/visibles) that can get me a little pissed off :>

But what comes around goes around generally :>

And just to re-iterate, the RvR seems good at the moment. And it's good fun trying out these new champ level abilities.
Got CL4 last night, and specced in a bolt which hits pretty softly, but I can nuke now! Fear me! :>
All good stuff. I just need to rake in somemore RP to get to level 5 now and get my last ability.

And looking forward to the more RPs per kill. I just want RR11 NOW dammit :p

I just hope that one day ( well prolly never) that Baron actually gets into a regular fg, then he will realise how shite it is when groups roam Agramon with the SOLE INTENTION of adding on every fight they see.

Go roam with your pug near the keeps please, and leave Agramon to those of us who actually want fg vs fg fights - is that to much to ask ?

( inc twatty response from the 13year old baron)

all this "buhuu, don't add on our group vs group fights" ... hey, how about returning that favour and stop running over the soloers ?
no ? guessed so.

Yes.

You've no right to tell people where they can or cannot play any more than you can tell them how they should play.
