Sci-Fi is Science Fiction. It is fiction based on and derived from Science and Technology. Fiction involving spaceships is counted as Sci-Fi (though Sci-Fi is in no way limited to spaceships, nor action in space), but something just taking place in space is not. Note that there are no spaceships here, nor does it strictly involve travelling into space.Larc said:I didn't give any definition of any. I said they aren't the same. In literature any book with e.g. spaceships in it is labeled Sci-Fi. Not fantasy. Fantasy is "medieval" setting.
Fantasy is medieval? lol. Fantasy is 'dream-world', make-believe, fairytales, etc.. Elves, goblins, orcs, trolls. Magical lands filled magical creatures. Knights, Wizards, etc, etc... (If you didn't notice, these things have been in DAoC for quite a while ).
Celestius (and the whole rest of ToA) is Fantasy, not Science Fiction.
